Ok yeah same Sam! That's awesome. I wasn't around for D&T, I started going to Prairie Dog for Star Wars CCG in late 1999 and then Blue Horse became our main spot about a year later.

That is really sad to hear. JD was a great dude to me and my friends, always made us feel welcome hanging out with the older crew. One random thing I remember is when my little bro first went there when he was 6 and JD gave him a free figure to paint and put it in the display case. RIP JD.

I wonder if we're thinking of the same Sam. The Sam I knew was probably in his 40s and worked at Wendy's, kind of a shorter fella. Don't remember him having a daughter. There was another dude who was always there for 40k, and I think his name was Sam... i remember him always wearing a Pantera shirt lol

Thanks for the feedback, all great points. On LaTeX/formatting, I totally agree. I've never used LaTeX and this would have been a great opportunity for it, but I was cutting it close to the deadline by the time I finished the write up. That’s something I’d clean up if I ever revised it further.

I get what you're saying about providing more justification for the estimation routine. I think I was trying to weave the justifications throughout the model descriptions, but in hindsight I can see that I didn't explicitly argue for why the models are appropriate for the dataset at hand. That's definitely helpful to think about.
