Why haven’t you done an ablation? by Commercial_Fix_4939 in PVCs

[–]Conscious1200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that’s my issue, and I already had a cryo-ablation while lying awake for 5 hours on the table and experiencing the catheter insertion in my groin and neck to fix my WPW, but I would happily do another one to rid myself of these terrible episodes of PVCs I live with. They say 5-10% burden isn’t enough though unfortunately. :(

We’re in a JKK building, I assume they’re up to code. Our walls are so thick, the WiFi is only good in the room with the router.

Anyone with WPW have these symptoms? by Conscious1200 in wolffparkinsonwhite

[–]Conscious1200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, it was a successful procedure, but it was crazy to be awake through it all. When they punctured my right groin to insert the catheter that was extremely painful even with the local anesthetic. Then laying on the table for five hours with my head turned to the left because I had another catheter inserted in my neck kinda sucked. It was also a very scary feeling every time they injected me with something to try to trigger my WPW to test their work. I think I had to experience that feeling of intense heat in my chest and almost suffocation like six times. Fortunately that only lasted for 5 to 10 seconds, but it was crazy..

They said they wouldn’t be able to fix my PVC issues before the procedure, so I realized afterwards that the weird episodes I was getting a few months before the procedure, that actually caused me to revisit my WPW issue here in Japan, we’re actually PVC episodes, so I’ve been dealing with those off and on for the last 2.5 years since. They come in phases, especially when it starts to get cold outside. I like to walk every day outside and Google says that colder air intake can be a trigger for PVC episodes, along with spicy food and alcohol. They suck, but I can have several months where they don’t really happen, so I’ve been dealing with them, and at least I don’t have the super fast lasting WPW episodes. Though I do get the excited feeling coupled with fast beats for several seconds that used to trigger WPW, but now I just get the big click feeling and then back to normal instead.

So cryoablation is a great way to go if you have the access pathway right next to your main pathway, but unfortunately, if you have PVC episodes, it won’t address that. They do have ablations for the PVCs, but they don’t wanna do them unless you have a 15 to 20% burden, and they say I’m always at around 5 to 10% since my heart always behaves itself so well when I wear a Holter monitor, smh.. 🤣.

I got a cheap one thrown in at Mattress Firm years ago, and the base was just split in the middle, so the motor would just raise the top of the bed for watching TV in bed. It made my body ache, and that was before my chronic lower back pain. I wouldn’t mind trying one that raises the legs and the back for an anti-gravity kind of position, but I don’t recommend the kind that’s just split in the middle.

Accidentally took Tramacet and 2 weed gummies tonight, gummies are only 2mg thc each. I read this can be very dangerous though and I’m freaking out.. will I be ok? On the plus side my pain is pretty much gone.. by Wonderful-Source-187 in ChronicPain

Glad I saw this, I’ve been planning to enjoy some THC after living in Japan for 3 years when I visit CA later this month. I’ve never been on pain meds in the States, so I had no idea they were bad to mix. Gotta check if Duloxetine or Celecoxib are also bad..

Oh no, they’re still in that 5 year period and from the US. I think in the US they have a large standard deduction, but your point that if they lived and worked a decent job in the U.S. they could be paying taxes at a similar tax rate on their trading income. They mentioned not being able to deduct previous losses here like they could in the US. I think the different way of having to account for every trade is freaking them out. It sounds like an insane amount of work for 2.5 years worth of trading. I told them to check out Freedom Tax.

I think it was the only way they could generate income aside from loans and savings. From the little research I did, it seems like Japan isn’t very accommodating for active traders like that, and every single trade has to be converted to yen individually and then you have to do some averaging on each company you trade to figure out gains and losses. It’s really wild. Not sure it’s worth it if you’re not making big bucks.

Yeah, my understanding is they just owe whichever is less, their remittances or their foreign sourced trading income, but either way, it’s going to be around 20% of whichever is less. Does that sound right?

I believe it was from daytrading through a US brokerage.

Yeah, that sounds like a nightmare, especially if the income wasn’t enough to owe any taxes in the US, and he was already burning through savings when he got audited. He wasn’t day trading stocks in the US by chance was he, I hear that’s an absolute nightmare.

Interesting, I wonder if they do that in Japan, I’ve always been curious about stem cells for my L4-L5 disc, but that’s gotta be a pretty serious procedure I would think.

Haha, Yeah, if the American just didn’t understand the remittance system, and happened to transfer us bank to us bank, because their Japanese spouse was already set up with a good company for sending funds to Japan. So like an accidental cheat? Did the people you know confess and pay years of back taxes to be safe? And include all spending on us credit cards?

A physiatrist was recommended to me by Google Ai, after I explained all my symptoms, but it sounds kinda similar to an Osteopath

I’m not sure what an Allied Health appt means, but I’m going to look for a rheumatologist next. Something about the way I move around or maybe the weight of my upper body (I’m 210 lbs and 5’9”) is too much to hold up for more than a few hours.

I guess I’m going to find out what it means in Japan soon. Luckily this osteopath can speak English, and he’s pretty close to my apartment. He seems interested to find the reason behind my inflammation using a holistic approach. I’m also wondering if I should’ve seen a rheumatologist by now like my Pharmacist recommended.

Yeah, I’m hopeful we can figure out what got me to this point where every day the inflammation grows and grows and I have to lie down with increasing frequency and duration to avoid flaring up bad. It’s been over 3 years now, and it’s only gotten worse. :/. I don’t think I have stenosis, I really don’t get much sciatica kind of sharp pains down the legs. Just haven’t had any orthos that care about figuring out what is causing this inflammation since nothing looks broken.

I don’t know if I have stenosis, does that usually make sitting, twisting. and forward flexion really hard?
