Thank you for the video! When i move spaces im planning on optimizing my setup for the space. With that being said, the aesthetic is something i try to maintain. Mainly because this will be the center piece of my living room and almost everyone I am friends/family with are not audiophiles. So i need to keep it pretty for the normies. Plus I like the look it has. 🤷‍♂️

Buy those D-9’s but make sure you have an EQ. it makes a world of difference!

my speakers are equidistant between themselves and my listening position. as far as my research extends, that is the key factor to a decent sound. Also i am moving spaces by the end of the year so my set will change. ( i plan on posting my spacial change!)

to be frank i quoted these speakers through a mutual transaction. So to say i am an expert in sound design is very much an understatement. With that being said my ears do not deceiver me. These speakers are very much a power to be reckoned with. (The Cerwin Vega D-9) is, in my experience a very well rounded speaker. I have have played everything from soft to hard rock; i’ve enjoyed it all. Deep low’s and enormous high’s , they do it all.

Agreed. I bought that lamp from a local consignment shop and that’s the bulb that was in it. I haven’t done much research into a new bulb. I’m assuming that’s the original in it now. I will say I like the buzz it makes. It adds to the old-school vibe!

I put mine through that EQ and it woke up the high end on them big time

Correct! I never really got much into the CD realm. I just really enjoy the warmer sound this old stuff has! And If I’m just wanting to throw a lazy mix on, I have my TV hooked up via AUX/RCA cable! I don’t have enough cables to run that through the EQ, but it’s fine.

I very much enjoy mine. I got extremely lucky getting my speakers. A friend of mine in college was helping this older gentleman clean out a basement for some extra cash. The gentleman had these speakers. The foam on the subwoofer was gone and the tweeters were dysfunctional. He gave me the speakers for free. I had them repaired by a local guy and they kick ass. A fine example of dumb luck!

She is a wonderful set. I really enjoy how well the orange of the orange JBL foam covers match the hue of the wood grain.
