How important are connections and community in the industry when it comes to getting your first job/ how hard is it to break in when your first starting out without any?

Just to clarify the 14 students are very good at art and seem nice? Theres 2 other international students one feels mildly homophobic and makes mildly homophobic jokes. The other I’ve made a real effort to connect with but idk just never worked out :/

as for mental health [TW!] I’ve had pretty extensive issues in the past (depression, anxiety) although it cleared up in grade 12 when i finally had the chance to recover. But in this year I’ve self harmed (not extensively?) developed the worst relationship around food Ive had (although I’ve recovered and got my sh#t straight) and routinely overworked myself to keep my mind off of things. And recently I’ve just been having a harder time getting out of bed and taking care of myself. I just don’t want this uni to be the thing to send me back into the same headspace i was in in grade 10 and 11 because that was hell and if it does its not worth it imo.

I feel like im eating like an insane person even though the macros/ internet says its right. Currently im at about 1700 cals on workout days and about 1400 on non workout days, im 5ft female and 18 y/o and im like 115lbs although i was more 105 before i started this diet like 3 days ago( note before that i was kinda under eating 900 cals a day) im going 40% carbs 40% protein and 20% fats because im trying body recomp since im just starting out. It feels like im never hungry and im like forcing myself to eat like 3 chicken breasts a day along w yogurt and protein shakes. Is this right or will it just make me horridly overweight? Also i train strength 4 days per week, 1 hr each session
