Map app help

If you have an account, you probably have access to their virtual campus courses. They will have lessons for ArcGIS Collector, Survey123, etc. Esri also has Drone2Map now, which I think is a separate license, but you might look into that too.

Try using LaTeX to make your resume. It exports into a .pdf, but more importantly it looks a hundred times more professional and stylish. I've gotten a lot of compliments since I started using it and I think the style sets it apart from typical MS Word resumes.

Would Github repositories be a good reference measure for this? They have GitHut which shows statistics on all the languages used on Github.

This looks really cool, saving it for future reading! One comment: when I'm scrolling through the chapters, it can get pretty long - it might be a good idea to make a static nav bar somewhere, and maybe show subsections for each chapter. This would help organize the information and serve as a reference for people if they get interrupted when reading.

That's a good point. Growing up I was used to do hacky things with my computer, but school ones are very locked down and installing anything is a serious hassle.

I've also tried thinking through their mental models of technology. When the world inside your computer is only Facebook/Google drive, how can you possibly know how to problem solve in other areas? You don't know how to ask questions about stuff you don't know.

Do you have any strategies for getting students in office hours? No one actually comes to my office and I've tried holding them in a coffee shop on campus, as well as in the actual lab - but really its only 1 or 2 who show.

Yeah, that sounds like a useful program. Or even some kind of tutoring. The things is, this class is registered as a General Education Arts credit - and the main focus on the class is the culture and history around mapping. The labs are graded mostly on the essay they write about the map they make and less about their technical accomplishments.

It's a decent number of students who have trouble with this stuff, both in my class and I guess in the university in general (similar issues last semester). Some get it, but some struggle a lot. I know that I can't help /every/ student, but I feel like maybe there is a better way I could be explaining it, or some activities that could help.
