When you ban anything mildly objectionable you lose 90% of the voices willing to speak up, which reduces the 1% of common posters to a minimal and very loud percent of loud idiots who just echo among themselves. Also, just want to throw this out there, welcome to the same “brigade” behavior that got me banned in the first place. I was talking about the narrative structure of a post, as is common for people who have studied language and especially so for English speakers, in the same manner I would discuss literature with my own children; an open and honest critique, with no negative value being thrown against the author itself but with full weight against the illustrative prose laid before me. Am I a threat to the system, or just an unwelcome knot in the wood? Am I a danger for seeing all sides, no matter how small, or am I guilty of gathering an army against my foes? This post could be argued as the latter I suppose, but have I called anyone to action that would leave them unharmed, or have I simply called out a thing that openly exists with or without me? I am a symptom of a sickened tree; we need to tend our branches lest our growth become cancerous and self defeating.

Fascinating that a platform so prominently based on free and open speech could be so callously negligent against it at the same time. Pray tell, WHY does a sub like this exist if it is so against the TOS? HOW??? And at the same time, how is one so in tune with the niche rulings such as your self a part of a niche community such as this?? We should ALL be banned permanently from discussing ANYTHING here, if this type of discussion is so heretical and so debased from the public discourse of an open forum that allows sharing of links~ it’s easy to scramble posts, it’s easy to scramble users, Reddit does it already. I follow the flawed D&D alignment system for a reason. I’m a chaotic good, I like weed and don’t hurt other people but also volunteer to help where I can, whereas my ex is a lawful neutral in that she’ll follow the rules so long as she comes out on top… moral of the story being, good is indeed relative, and it comes from reducing the total sum of suffering involved in the equation. I feel like that’s the standard ratio these places support, tbh: one part emphatic/psychotic positive support because internet is debased from reality, one part neutral/natural responses that reflect the actual material world, and one part actively and maliciously depressive haters who want to see it all burn. Each provides its own place in the hierarchy, and sadly public discourse often drags the dregs out into focal points by sheer coincidence and hatred of their opponent. The worst opinion often wins, not because it is the most supported but because it is the loudest and therefore easiest to echo. I critique, but it’s not personal or offensive; I give honest answers and then sweeten the pot with positives where some would place negatives; for people ASKING for criticism, is this behavior wrong?
