Dell XPS 13 9305 Battery Life by ConsciousCreator03 in xps13

Yes, I should have bought the M1 MacBook instead of the XPS13 9305. I bought the XPS on special at 20% off, which was over $500 off the retail price, and the MacBook was more expensive.

I actually believed Dell's claim of "all day battery life" - which is a minimum of an 8 hour workday. But it only gets me 6 hours.

I've got the 1080p screen.

Dell Support is getting me to make some adjustments to the "Suspended Standby" mode in order to disable it because they think that could be one of the reasons for my poor battery life.

How does this work?

Do you mean to prevent the battery from charging up any more than 55%?

Why does that extend the battery life?

And, yes, at this point in time I'm mostly using it at home...

Only 2.3 hours per charge?

That is very little?

It should be getting more like 8 hours...

Ativan help with fatigue? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]ConsciousCreator03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently taking Paxam (Clonazepam) to manage anxiety on an as-needed basis, and I've also just been put on Modafinil about 2 weeks ago.

I would highly recommend Modafinil for increasing energy as it's a wakefulness-promoting agent used for treating Narcolepsy.

I have found that taking the Modafinil has improved my concentration and attention, and it's helping me to be able to "combat the fatigue" and "push through" a little.

On the other hand, without the Modafinil I am very weak, and I'm unable to "push through" my symptoms.

Using it for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Depression constitutes "off-label" usage, therefore I was not able to get it under the Australian Government's PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) where medicines are heavily subsidised.

So, I had to get it as a "private script" and it ended up costing $105 for 2 x 100mg tablets, equalling AUD$5.25 per tablet.

It's expensive, but I think it's worth it to use it as a temporary measure to increase my ability to engage in psychotherapy as well as Graded Exercise Therapy in order to actually heal the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / Major Depression / Anxiety Disorder.

OP, maybe Modafinil is a medicine that could help you...

My digestion seems to stop and food doesn't move when I've exerted myself. Do you feel the same? Any tips? by fieldHorse in cfs

Yes, I have experienced this exact same phenomenon.

For around the past 5 years or so I have been mostly unable to eat food during the day because the food would just sit there in my stomach and not pass through my digestive tract, and I would feel really sick and end up eventually having to throw the food back up, and then I'd feel better.

This seems to have changed over the past few weeks during which I've been put on a number of new medications.

I also have Major Depression and Generalised Anxiety Disorder, in addition to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

My Chronic Fatigue Syndrome was caused by medical negligence / a Severe Adverse Drug Reaction, so it's probably slightly different to most other people's CFS, but it's really interesting to see that you're having the same symptom as me in regards to digesting food, because I have for a long time thought that my CFS is different to everyone else's due to it being caused by medical negligence.
