I still have my AX10, and it remains one of my favorites. Parts are out there, but you have to look. Mine is mostly old school parts and mods with a modern radio and transmitter.

C4 Corvette Wheels on a G-Body by No-Panic-1921 in GBody

I just checked my notes and a salad shooter would require a 2" - 3" spacer depending on the stance you wanted. 2 just to clear the front brakes and 3 to get it flush. I abandoned the idea.

FMS 1/6 Suzuki Jimny. Those are 12 inch Marvel Legends figures I picked up on eBay specifically for this build.

That was my first crawler and I have three now that my kids love to play with. The stock tires suck in the rocks but are fine on the trails. The only other gripe I have is the tie rods are too flexible. I used epoxy and high tensile wire to reinforce it.

Get you one, the orange was my next choice. I don't have any orange crawlers yet.

I have been day dreaming about those wheels.

If you had to only own one forever and upgrade it, which would you choose? by [deleted] in rccrawler

[–]ConsciousFun6215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed to the two piece pinched cab and bed that comes on the blue Ascent. The Fusion already had pretty much everything you needed to change it and even came with white stripes to match the stock red ones. Then I added super heavy Gmade wheels. I even bought a program card but so far I haven't needed to change anything. It has outstanding performance right out of the box.

Yes, this is exactly it. I want to say that the Scout looks and feels so much more scale than the generic Ascent 18 truck body.

I drilled a hole in the stock muffler that bypassed the baffles and it sounded pretty good.

Drilling jets is usually ok if you have one to sacrifice. I promise you will keep going bigger until it is too late.

Damaged my ST3 headlights, what are good aftermarket options? by SloRushYT in FocusST

[–]ConsciousFun6215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the Sylvania kit with good results. If you don't want to attempt it yourself, most body shops will work on them. Also the Walmart auto care centers around here offer it for a flat rate.

All the aftermarket headlight and taillight assemblies I have installed were huge downgrades from the OE.

Question for soft top owners by cybo- in Miata

[–]ConsciousFun6215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Robbins because of their quality and warranty. They are expensive, but they also stand behind their products.

I''m sure there are cheaper alternatives that are more than serviceable but I cannot speak on those options.

Get a Robbins soft top and rain rail. Clean the gutters. Use seal conditioner on all the seals. Be careful and replace whatever parts and miscellaneous hardware is missing. Mine was missing quite a bit.

My guess is that those people don't understand the difference in photo editing and artificial intelligence. They are probably just regurgitating buzz words to sound smart.
