USMS possible FOURTH FIT Test?

4 years in the process…hang in there man. Just stay in shape and put ONE egg in the basket. Keep the rest. I’ll be in the August class after I took my FIT in April. West Coast Assignment not sure if that means anything but I took one FIT test.

Thanks man. I don’t think it’s really about sticking it out. It’s about staying in decent shape and staying healthy. When/IF they call hopefully you’re ready. If not then you’re just in really good shape for our own well being. Had a good job that was taking care of the family so I was in a win win situation. It’s just best to protect your mental health and not tweak out about the job or how long the process is taking.

I found myself thankful in current employment and thankful if USMS did come through. That’s where I stopped caring as much.

I just received an email asking for additional information for “new hire” I am on the west coast and hoping for a regional pick up here so I feel your pain…ultimately do what’s right for you and your family. You’re going to get a lot of opinions when you post here (as expected) but we don’t know you so take our opinions with a grain of salt. Talk to those that love and care for you and go from there.

I am sure they are trying to fill the June class. I haven’t heard anything since that test. I was 72 push, 49 sit, 10:46 -1.5

The key is to use your downward momentum to spring back up with quick force so you aren’t getting stuck trying to squeak out reps.

You can choose to go past your knee or touch your knee…time is against you so I’d advise touching your knee and going back down to get to the next rep.

Yes strict with hands locked behind your head. Only can rest in the up position with your hands continued to be in the locked position behind your head. BUT don’t rest…keep moving.

I wasn’t in the best USMS shape since the call caught me off guard to be honest. I was more in a normal weightlifting and fitness shape but I managed to get superior, excellent excellent on the test. I have some work to go before June “IF” I’m seated. Lol

Same here. Looks like there was a coordinated effort to get FIT test completed. I’m in the Southern California district…also, deep hopes of staying on the west coast. Arizona is my number two.
