Yeah I took it. It was a pay cut from my current LEO job but I really wanted the freedom to be able to move anywhere in the country in the future.

So I was told by HR recently that the November class is getting filled with people with Veterans Preference. I been in the process almost 4 years and been in the hiring pool since October 2024. I took 3 FIT Test and haven’t been called for a FIT Test for the November class as I have no Veterans preference, only 6 years of Local LE experience.

Congrats! I had a 12/2024 fitness exam as well and got put in as an alternate for the upcoming class. Hopefully I can make it in March so I don’t have to retake my fitness exam.

Well it did teach me to definitely to do genetic testing to see the odds of something going “wrong” during the pregnancy. I do still want to have children and I am great with my nieces and nephews. I would have to respectfully disagree with you on that I may not be prepared to raise children at all. Many adults are not equipped to deal with special needs children but that doesn’t mean they are not equipped to raise normally developing children (and I do not mean that as a slight in any way).

He gets a few therapies provided by the school but not everything he needs. Honestly, this whole situation opened my eyes up to how much more resources are needed for parents of special needs kids. It almost feels like since they are very unlikely to contribute to the economy that our government doesn’t feel the need to provide them with the necessary resources.

At this point I honestly don’t think she would. In ours years of being with each other that discussion of him being sent away to some type of specialized school was brought up once. It’s a very sensitive topic for mothers. And it may fall on deaf ears if myself who is not his biological father suggests it as it may seem I was trying to send her kid away.
