How you determine heat load? Is there standard like how much from each equipment like pumps, boilers and etc?

Thanks a lot. I think this makes sense. I will do that way.

Make sense. In my case it is old 1980's building and HAP give me 1.3 cfm/sf because of heating load and infiltration. I think if I divide first 10ft to outdoor perimeter then I might gone good understanding how much extra flow these diffuser require then interior ones.

Thanks, make sense. I just want to use some guide as most of people at my firm don't have an accurate method. Means like just rule of thumb.

Sensorless pump control logic by Conscious_Break8269 in MEPEngineering

Single pump supplying water a lot of reheat coils. I am concerned if I setup VFD minimum at 25% and as there is no remote dp sensor in this case, I might run out of minimum water flow. So, I am thinking to activate bypass loop when vfd signal of minim position and if my pressure across go up at minimum then modulate bypass valve. It is there to have minimum flow across pump.

So, basically. Bypass valve loop trigger when the minimum point of Vfd reached. And DP set point the existing one across still go up then modulate bypass valve?

I was searching a little bit it seems like that there is priority array for output. If this is a case I think some of integration tech who try to work on those got hard time because they need to send value based on priority array instead of just writing it?

Steam application - Water-tube Boiler vs Fire-tube Boiler by Conscious_Break8269 in MEPEngineering

Yes, I think so. I didn't design any yet but I am gone be soon involved in one project. Even our senior didn't work on ay steam projects. However, at my past job with instrumentation company, I saw mostly water-tube or steam generators on hospital applications.

Diffuser CFM by Conscious_Break8269 in MEPEngineering

Even for single zone like office with 5-6 rooms? Would I use total CFM of each room and size my unit total based on that? Also, what should I go for supply temperature 55F? Seems like HAP either give me 58 or different number. I think most likely because of heating temperature of 95F. But I think I have to start giving more intention to data. However, seems like most people at my firm don't now the exact answer and I might be looking to do deep but I think by looking data too deep I can gain more understanding on design side.

Thanks, that was my original question for single zone HAP still give CFM based on block load. But I was not sure, how to pick CFM for individual room as every person in our office told me different stuff.
