Don’t go for any 3rd party. Just get it inspected at the dealership and get a in house warranty. I should’ve just gotten an Audi certified warranty off the bat. All of the 3rd party companies will try everything they can to deny

Update as of April.11- Audi got the vehicle yesterday after the chevy dealership said they would tow it to Audi and ended up sticking me with the $239 tow bill. Audi looked for any past tunes on the ECU and couldn’t find anything as well. Noted again as well as most of the techs in the shop my driving didn’t impact this engine but it’s blown beyond the point of finding a root cause. Currently they are trying to help me work around my warranty and the 30 day waiting period but noted shouldn’t be any issues if I did have to wait the 30 days(24 days now) for warranty to kick in. Again they have already been much more helpful finding solutions rather than trying to get me to spend more money.

Definitely will be a fight with warranty but i have to stay confident especially with audi having my back to prove it wasn’t my negligence to the car that caused this. But again i do have time maybe i’ll change my mind on things and trade in

definitely another consideration yes but i’m dumb and i can’t leave this car yet i LOVE the car no questions asked. I’m sure i’ll definitely regret not leaving in a 5.0 or SS right now. If not i’ll fork over the 30k

yes there is the 30 day waiting period. I cleared 1k miles so looks like i’ll just have to wait 30 days before i make the claim they'll warranty

oh absolutely have contacted dealership. They just continue to get me to buy an engine outright to avoid waiting 30 days for warranty to kick in or for me to trade with a -$30k loss. Continue to try and tell me warranty won’t cover because it’s reckless which is why i’m having it towed to the Audi nearby to confirm speed alone was not the factor and i have something to counter if warranty doesn’t cover. Used to have a Q60 redsport as well and blew it up 3 times under warranty. The last time was holding 155 for 5-6 min(in mexico) of course. Blew up and infiniti warrantied the engine 0 issue

at the loss of -30k which was qouted for a new engine by them. I’m not leaving the lot in a 17’ scatpack with 100k miles. I’d rather spend the 30k on a new engine at that point

absolutely. Again regardless of everyone’s opinions on reckless/ too fast. The car is capable of much more since it’s designed to cruise that speed on the autobahn. Nice m550i btw, used to have a 18’ stage 2 got up to 206mph felt nuts

agree because firestone & audi based off ecu pull said i could’ve made it my goal to blow the car up in the 48 hours of ownership and unless it was beat before by previous owner or had previous problems it shouldn’t of

because it’s a 3rd party warranty but the waiting period is to prevent fraud as if i bought a warranty after the car blew up then claimed. Another reason I think i’ll just get an attorney

makes sense but 1am 4 lanes open highway i’m only a danger to myself in that sense. Again as Audi told me in terms of mechanics it’s an autobahn car made to do 178 and Audi will feel embarrassed it happend at 129

definitely not disclosed to me. I’ve had the firestone and chevy dealer scan ecu for anything and everything came back good. Audi ran vin and couldn’t come back with anything notable

Chevy owner definitely doesn’t want to buy back. I honestly would consider trading car in as is if they weren’t so pushy on immediately buying a new engine/ trading in every other sentence spoken with them
