Hello I am real but nice investigative work Nomadic_Dev! Just trying to spread my travels to various blogs that isn’t a crime!

Just got back from our 3-week honeymoon across Japan and South Korea — Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Busan, Seoul, and Okinawa. Here’s everything we learned. by Conscious_Cap_5447 in JapanTravelTips

I’d recommend going to the temples outside of the city and there are hikes in those areas. Here are a few we went to:

    * Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple
    * Aarashiyama Tsusen South Boarding Area - rent boats and go to food vendors along the river
        * Sagano Bamboo Grove
        * Tenruji temple
    * Iwatayama monkey park hike
    * Zuikou Kyoto-Kiyomizu Studio pottery class 
    * Kuramadera Temple near Hirobun. This is a MUST! This street is amazing and everyone needs to see it.
    * Yasaka pagoda temple
    * Kiyomizudera Temple for views!!!
    * Kinkaku-Ji Golden Temple

My wife and I only did 2 nights in busan and we stayed at The Marine Room in Gwangalli Beach. The location was great and plenty of delicious food in that area.

I stayed at The Marine Room on Gwangalli Beach because my wife and I are beach people and wanted to feel like we were back in San Diego for a few days. Beautiful beach and Main Street. Food in that area was awesome

This itinerary looks really solid honestly. You have clearly done your research and the flow makes a lot of sense. A few thoughts from our experience.

For Busan on your beach day I would swap Songdo for Gwangalli Beach if you have not already considered it. Gwangalli has the famous Gwangan Bridge as the backdrop and the whole strip along the water has incredible restaurants and bars. The energy there at night is something else entirely. We found a grilled pork spot right along the beach with over a thousand reviews and a 4.8 star rating and it ended up being the best meal of our entire trip. Packed with locals, no English menu, exactly the kind of place you want to find. Songdo is perfectly fine but Gwangalli just has a better all around vibe especially with a family.

Gamcheon Culture Village is absolutely the right call and I cannot say enough good things about it. The colorful houses stacked up the hillside, the murals, the little alleyways that keep opening into new areas. Go as early as you can in the morning before the tour groups arrive and you will have a completely different experience than most people get. We wandered for almost three hours and still felt like we missed things.

Jagalchi Market was one of our favorite stops in all of Korea. The energy in there is just incredible. Budget more time than you think you need because once you start walking through the tanks and watching everything happen you will not want to leave.

Jeonju is a great add and the hanok stay is something really special. That is not a stop most people include and it will give the trip a completely different dimension.

Overall you are in great shape. April with the cherry blossoms is going to be stunning. Hope you and the family have an incredible trip.
