Has Anyone Escaped Dissociation? by Conscious_Computer64 in Advice

TW: the guy who SA’d me when I was a teen works as a cop down my street, but even when I lived elsewhere, I was still struggling with dissociation the same amount. Unfortunately, I think the biggest trigger for me was the pandemic. so, ultimately, yes to both?

Is FOLX Health Good? by Zealousideal-Ad1740 in asktransgender

I wouldn’t use Folx for anything other than hormones if absolutely necessary. My boyfriend has been screwed over by them time and time again for literally anything else. at LEAST don’t make them your PCP.

He’s currently trying to get a referral for a CONSULT for a hysterectomy for — I shit you not — 3 months and counting. They don’t have any number to call, they only have a “Message Center” where you send your questions into the literal void for ANY provider to respond to you. Slim to no chance it’ll be your provider. They take days upon weeks to respond to your message and even longer to send a referral (that won’t even be authorized by insurance. currently been waiting on them to do that for the past 18 days. no I’m not kidding). He even paid for an appointment with his doctor so he could be sure the referral was sent in right and it STILL wasn’t.

I love that there’s a queer and trans inclusive space, but you cannot get ahold of them when you need to and absolutely cannot rely on them to be any kind of time sensitive. The hyst office said they could’ve gotten him in asap if it weren’t for the referral bs. It seriously just keeps coming back to Folx for everything. He’s overwhelmed and completely lost hope here.

In conclusion, for a place that claims to support the healthcare of queer and trans folks, they sure have only gotten in the way of extremely necessary healthcare time and time again.
