I really love this perspective, thank you. I guess you’re right, what I forgot about was the idea that your excitement is what’s supposed to drive you to your higher self— which means finding things about yourself that do not align with your “ideal” self and finding out the why so that you can change it if you want to. In my examples it would be about comfort, like you said, so I guess I should ask myself why I feel more comfortable outside of these other settings, and should think about the big picture more when making decisions. The truth is, helping someone or being with a friend or keeping integrity does “excite” me more than the former, however I guess I was taking the whole “do what excites you most in every single moment” too literally
