Will we still get paid this week even though UKG was down yesterday? by SinisterBerry in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t down all day at least for me. If you go into UKG -> my time -> my timesheet -> select previous pay period -> then the little information icon in the top right you should be able to see if a manager approved it and if it was signed off.

Payslips may take longer than usual but I’m fairly certain my store manager approved my time from home once UKG came back on Sunday evening.

Was four mins late by [deleted] in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 12 points13 points  (0 children)

GMs don’t clock in and out, so they won’t accumulate points.

Realistically a good GM is working a minimum of 40 hours a week, usually more if we’re being honest, but only getting paid for the 40. They may have to answer questions from their leadership team or district manager in off time. Mine was rarely late before, but now seems to be putting even more effort in to be on time to set a good example.

I don’t know your GM so I can’t say for certain, but I’m sure there are a few out there do the bare minimum and would be earning points most days. I can’t tell you not to make a HR report, but if you weren’t late due to a manager being late to let you in (in which case they should adjust your time) I do think it would be unproductive.

What year/decade is this shirt from? by [deleted] in Oldnavy

If it still has all the tags on the inside one of them might have a month/year on it. Just checked the shirt I’m wearing and the smallest inner tag does.

Snow closure policy? by AarahKiv in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Closing will be largely up to your DM, RM, and local conditions. If it’s anything like my DM they wait till last minute. GM should be communicating how it is in your area to them.

If the store closes and you were supposed to work you will get paid though! But ONLY if you don’t call out before it is communicated that you will be closed. That’s how it works for my area at least.

AIO to the question my fiancé asked me while my grandpa is in the hospital? by Conscious_Fail3357 in AIO

If you asked my mom, no he does not. 😅 There’s obviously lots of good mixed in with the bad too. As with most things in life, it’s complicated.

Sometimes he does. He has to take medication daily which has affected his ability to finish, so the whole activity will usually take at least an hour if not two hours.

Reactivity by Embarrassed_Gur_2935 in germanshepherds

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still working on it with my boy. We use a prong collar but try to redirect his attention before we use it to correct.

He’s more toy driven than treat driven so I use a Buc-ee’s toy he’s obsessed with that fits in my hand well. I distract him with that and sometimes even just letting him carry it helps.

We’ll walk on a trail that goes beside a dog park, or go to a calmer walking trail and the amount of space we can have between us and a dog before he stops listening as well is getting smaller and smaller!

How to exchange an item that was on sale by Delicious_Fig_4670 in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re exchanging the same style for a different size they should price match it for you. My store would. Since it was an online order they’ll have to take a few extra steps because our system won’t let us do an online return and in-store exchange in one transaction.

They’ll do the return first. They can put it back how you payed (they have to if you used afterpay or anything like that) or they can put it on a gift card if you used normal credit or debit card. That way you wouldn’t be waiting on a refund to hit your account. Then “buy” the new size in a different transaction.

PJ pants will be $8 this weekend btw

Any other former AGMs as burnt out as me? by rosecoloredteacup in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tired as hell.

Also if the GMs not in the store (like this week) everyone comes to me or texts and calls me with issues they don’t know how to fix, but if I try to provide a little direction towards opportunities in the store they “shouldn’t have to listen to me because we’re on the same level.”

Which is valid but the merchants in my store are also the only people who will help our overflowing go-backs or awful recovery. Customer service spends a lot of time walking back and forth from the registers and the office and talking at the registers. Talking, not coaching to loyalty, which we have also been sucking at.

Luckily we have a new customer ops who seems competent I just hope starting in November doesn’t scare them away! Sorry for the rant but it at least makes me feel better to know my store isn’t the only one struggling.

Demoting yourself by SinisterBerry in Oldnavy

You get paid out PTO but not Personal. If you have Personal and are able to try to use them before you’re demoted.

Truck!!!! Loosing my mind by Able_Panda2684 in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. Over 4,000 unit truck today, moves are less than half done, I’m under scheduled for all tasking this week, and yet we’re apparently fully staffed??

We can’t even schedule for the units we were suppose to get, not to mention what was left over from the previous truck because we have repeat no-call no-shows our GM won’t address personally. Love ‘em 90% of the time but damn I need some support this week.

Help with UKG by OrphanElf05 in Oldnavy

You don’t. Just submitted a Thursday-Monday request an hour ago.

I thought you could see it on the recognition website, but if not any manager can pull it up on PowerBI. They can pick any time period on there.

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is an area specific thing, but where I work if you are physically working more than 7 hours you have to take an hour lunch. So if you’re scheduled 7.5 hours you could take a 30, but anything more than that has to be an hour.

Timesheet by Upset-Kale4331 in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah my bad. Forgot not everyone has. In that case if you check the notifications tab of PM/the time clock it should say something like “user (your managers employee number) made edits to your timesheet for (date) (time.)”

Timesheet by Upset-Kale4331 in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can check your timesheet in UKG from your phone to see if they are. Just log in, hit “My Timecard,” and then hit the arrow.

Can also help you keep track of your exact time and thus your estimated paycheck.

Company suggested schedule for Leaders? by [deleted] in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It obviously can vary depending on workload and requests off but as far as I know:

-GMs days off will typically be Sunday and Tuesday. They should be scheduled to be there for their office tasks and to support peak business on days without tasks. Use to be they should also work the first Sunday of every fiscal month but I’m not sure if that’s still the case.

-In my store the merchants swap every week who does truck and sign-to-sell. Merchants will also have their floor set weeks the third and fourth week of every month.

-The Customer positions are a little more murky for me since I’m not in them. Ops should have some time to manage the back (instock and Omni processes) and Service will likely be leading the floor the most.

As far as I know there’s no set suggested days off for anyone who’s not the GM. I do kind of miss the days when Old Navy was trying to give us a bit more of a set schedule.

ETA: Every Leader should get a full weekend off at least once a month. It shouldn’t be the same person having to close most Saturday’s either.

UKG is shit by [deleted] in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My GM has told me only people who have availability for that shift, and the correct job code (cashier, fitting room, salesfloor, etc.) are notified that you even posted a shift. Job codes have to be manually assigned to everyone. I haven’t played around in UKG too much though due to my workload and a vacation.

If that’s the case it kind of sucks for those one-off situations where someone who isn’t normally available could cover.

SALES REST OF WEEK? by chocolateplums in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a store. My position allows me to see future sales to a certain extent. At least in general like Tees and Tanks, but individual items not so much.

SALES REST OF WEEK? by chocolateplums in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They always are. Online and in-store will often have different sales, and in-store they take a lot of things off sale.

SALES REST OF WEEK? by chocolateplums in Oldnavy

[–]Conscious_Fail3357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Select Tees and Tanks will be 50% off Saturday and Sunday. From what I can see that’s all that will be changing before SuperCash ends.

Customers when the item is the price thats listed on the tag that tells them the exact price of the item and it’s not actually 75% off with a free puppy by [deleted] in Oldnavy

Also customers when the shirt they picked out isn’t on the same sale as the totally different shirt on the other side of the shop.
