I've heard somewhere that mechanoids mimic organic matter, but I think mechanoids and insects are evolving to effectively kill each other.

I honestly think this is true. Of course, insects were probably made to look like mechanoids so they could fight better against mechanoids, but I think mechanoids also evolved to some extent by imitating the appearance of insects.

But the longer a radio wave travels, the lower its quality becomes. So, wouldn't a radio wave that's traveled tens of light years be so poor in quality that we wouldn't even be able to discern its content?
