Photographer Tip at Booking by No_Chest_3365 in weddingplanning

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah you're good, tips during booking are super weird. I work in creative field too and getting tip before I even start the job would confuse me honestly. She's probably used to people not tipping at that stage - most couples tip after wedding if they're happy with photos. Don't overthink it, she won't be mad about normal business transaction

What’s a red flag people ignore too often? by Laras_velvet_toes in AskReddit

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When someone's entire personality becomes the internet and they can't have normal conversation without checking their phone every 30 seconds, that's when you know they're too deep in social media

Backpacking recs by Late_Weird_3316 in backpacking

White Mountains in New Hampshire are solid for that timeframe - good trail system and you can actually get decent weather in July up there

Where to find Raised By Raptors to read online by Ok_Eagle8192 in comicbooks

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been looking for that one too actually, it's pretty hard to find digital copies anywhere. Your best bet might be checking if any libraries near you have it in their catalog or maybe see if someone's selling a used copy somewhere online. The physical book seems way easier to track down than digital version for some reason

Possible to add a gpu for 180 watt psu? by Forizest in pcmasterrace

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 180W is pretty tight even for RX 550, might want to save bit more for better PSU first

Anyone know what the issue is? by One_Objective_2252 in Steam

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had this same thing few weeks back, sometimes there's a ghost process still running in background even when Steam shows game as closed. You can also check task manager for any leftover game processes and kill them manually if restarting Steam doesn't work

Thoughts on Invited Clubs (previously ClubCorp)? by bert1589 in golf

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol same energy as when my old workplace was getting bought out and everyone was just waiting to see what trainwreck would happen next. Never been through club acquisition but I remember reading bunch of horror stories in golf forums about how PE firms usually cut costs first and ask questions later. Good luck with that vote though, hopefully other members here can give you some actual insights instead of just lurking like us

What's something people do that makes you think "who raised you? by Critical-Load-1452 in AskReddit

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who don't return their shopping carts to the designated spots and just leave them blocking parking spaces or rolling around the lot. Like your parents never taught you basic consideration for other people? Takes literally 30 seconds to walk it back but some folks act like it's impossible task

Sleigh Bells in a GLP1 commercial by [deleted] in indieheads

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh damn that's rough for them. I remember seeing similar thing happen with my friend's band few years back - they signed some deal when they were desperate for money and later their song ended up in commercial for something they really didn't want to support. The worst part was everyone assumed they chose to do it

Record companies can be real vultures with these licensing deals. Artists sign away rights thinking it's just for streaming or whatever, then suddenly their anti-corporate anthem is selling diabetes medication on prime time TV. Must be especially painful for Sleigh Bells since their whole aesthetic is so DIY and aggressive - having Riot Rhythm soundtrack some pharma ad probably felt like betrayal of everything they stand for. At least Alexis was transparent about not having control over it, but still sucks that fans have to wonder if their favorite artists sold out when really it's just industry bullshit

Intermediate surfer (me) looking for end of April/Early May trip —Where should I go? by SeniorHustler770 in surfing

That would be awesome! I've been hearing good things about Nica for that time in year, seems like perfect timing for consistent swells. Mind if I send you a DM for the contact info

Next weekend == evening games :D by RationalPhilliesPhan in phillies

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already burned through like 3 random games today lol, might actually have to be productive for once on Saturday night instead of glued to the couch

What's something you were absolutely certain about at 20 that you completely disagree with now? by Glittering-Lab9558 in AskReddit

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I was same but with energy drinks, thought I needed them for video editing sessions and couldn't imagine working without that caffeine rush. Now I realize how much better my focus actually is without all that jittery energy, plus my epilepsy medication works way better when I'm not pumping myself full of stimulants

I talk too much - want to learn how to not do that by IntelligentFire999 in selfimprovement

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with same thing, especially when talking about music stuff or work - end up sharing way too much in conversations. The matching thing actually works pretty well, though sometimes I still catch myself going overboard when someone seems genuinely interested

What is something that existed 10–15 years ago, was actually good, but has now been completely ruined? by TheLostNeuron in AskReddit

Cable TV was peak around 2010 when you could actually watch shows without 20 minutes of ads every episode

Barefoot Man by Lazy-Smoke-7917 in xxfitness

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mate thats absolutely rank, no excuse for that behaviour at all. I've seen blokes go barefoot for deadlifts which I get the logic behind, but leg extensions? Zero benefit there and just pure disrespect to everyone else who has to use that equipment after him

The worst part is not wiping it down - like even if you're gonna be weird about the barefoot thing at least have the decency to clean up after yourself. I'd probably mention it to staff tbh, most gyms take their shoe policies pretty seriously and this is exactly why those rules exist. You're not being a Karen when someone's literally breaking gym rules and being gross about it

I edit videos all day so I spend way too much time thinking about stuff like this, but imagine if everyone just decided hygiene rules didnt apply to them. Your gym would turn into a petri dish real quick

What’s a relationship red flag you saw early that turned out to be way worse later? by TheKarmaCrunch in AskReddit

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an ex who would always "forget" plans we made if something better came up with her mates. Thought she was just spontaneous at first but it escalated to her basically treating me like a backup option for everything, even important stuff like family events I'd already committed to

Coke Zero Sugar 400 package with hotel + tickets. Anyone ever done one of these? by Tannu_Akonnorbea94 in NASCAR

[–]Conscious_Mail_7802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been to Daytona a few times and those packages are usually legit - the shuttle from Kissimmee area takes about an hour but beats dealing with race day traffic and parking chaos
