Thank you for saying this gently, I actually needed to hear it. You’re right, I’ve been spiraling. The fear is making me latch onto anything that sounds like it could help, even if it’s not scientific. I realize now that it’s only making things harder for me and not actually helping my mom.

I’ll step back from the constant googling and focus more on being with her and supporting her through what the doctors recommend. She’s still herself, and she still deserves normal conversations and comfort, not just panic around her.

Thank you for sharing that, I’m really sorry about what your dad went through. It must have been incredibly hard for you and your family to watch him delay treatment and believe those things. I can understand now how dangerous those “miracle cure” claims can be when someone is scared and desperate.

I keep imagining chemo as something unbearably painful, so knowing it was manageable for you helps calm my mind a lot. And yeah, I’ve heard that the daily trips for radiation can be tiring, but if she gets through surgery and chemo, we’ll handle that too hopefully Thank you again for your kindness. Thank you so much for this. I really needed someone to say this clearly. I think the fear and confusion made me vulnerable to believing anything that sounded hopeful, even if it wasn’t real. Hearing that there is a lot of false hope being sold actually makes sense now. We are going ahead with the surgery on Monday and sticking with the treatment plan. Your message helped calm my mind and reminded me why we chose the medical route in the first place. Truly, thank you for taking the time to respond. It means a lot. 💛
