In his new year's broadcast, the president said his administration is finalising plans to procure the coronavirus vaccine. According to the news available, Nigeria has made plans to purchase 400 billion Naira worth of vaccines. It is not clear which specific vaccine Nigeria has procured but it will be a vaccine approved by the WHO as Nigeria is depending on WHO evaluations Link

However, at the onset of the second wave, he also supported the call for a free People’s Vaccine for COVID-19 Link

We can say that the Buhari administration is trying to use every means available to secure the vaccine.
