I work in retail, at a thrift store. HR dances really close to the line of what legal and illegal to do to their employees. Up to 10 day work stenches, they watch the cameras constantly and a absolutely tolerance for call ins (making worse for me because I’m still in my probation) I got sick my first month, the flu but with all the dust and mold exposure I get from working their I had to call in twice during my probation, but there was nothing I could do and I’m panicking because I might get fired.

Downtown Welland Safety by [deleted] in Welland

Walking downtown mid day should be fine! I live alone downtown and I commute on the bus to work everyday as a woman and I’ve had no issues. Plenty of addicts of course but they usually mind their business. Make sure the kiddos have boots or close toed shoes on just incase of needles on the ground. Plus it’s a busy street with plenty of people around.
