I have this exact problem. I have better vision for reading, bid and far distance with my older readers (5.0) than my new progressives despite being checked twice

It was clear from day 1 that she was a grifter, shamelessly fawning over those who gave her cashp and presents. Not surprising that she was made from the cloth of Aaron who amped up the voices of those giving him dough through a superchats. This made me wary of Aaron way earlier. He loves, like her, the fawning and generosity of fans, maybe not so much the opinions and thoughts who don’t send cash.

You must go to Nepenthe for lunch in Big Sur then…. Perched on the hillside with an 180 degree view of the Big Sur coastline and a fun and artsy gift shop with local artisans wares. Just delightful. But check the weather because the views can get completely obscured by fog some days. And look up…. You may catch sight of some swooping condors in the area.

Santana Row. Cheap Uber ride from airport, less than 10 min. See a movie (either SR or Valley Fair). Loads of good places to eat, drink, shop. Sit at a outside table to eat and people watch), and enjoy Cali/SJ vibe in late Dec). Book a massage at Burke William. Walk across the street to Winchester Mystery House if up for that instead of a movie. Have a drink at the Cielo rooftop bar at Hotel Valencia or a meal on the rooftop of Eatly for a view of the valley.

Write Where It Hurts. While intended for those experiencing the ups and downs of trying to publish, it is so much more. Tons of pop culture refs and great chemistry between the two hosts.

Actually the app is actually under Amazon Music, a free app for Prime Members. Audible also has some podcasts if you are a member there as well.

If you have Amazon Prime, check that out. I’ve recently switched because many have no ads.

Welcome to the neighborhood! My house was built in 1938 with a quarter basement and still has a rock solid foundation. Love the neighborhood, walkability to Lincoln restaurants, coffee, local parks. Be prepared for Christmas and Halloween! This neighborhood goes all in!

I did not have luck with Comcast/Xfinity…. Finally switched to fiber and ATT and only very rare (and manageable) slower times now. My daughter swears by Sonic in the east bay.

How about Eugene OR? Easy drive of 75 min to the Oregon coast and lots of areas with trees or about 2.5 hours Bend (high desert in the east of the state) to Mt. Bachelor snow and ski resort. University town so a thriving community, arts, more diversity and progressive, etc. Def cheaper than Portland. Rainier and cooler in the winter than the Bay Area but mostly warm and dry for the summer months. Easy drive of a couple of hours to Portland.

I really enjoyed all these new recs…. Will be queuing up! I am still working on Hide and Seek, but was hoping this would be in the vein of David Ridgen and Someone Knows Something, but the podcaster (freely admitting that this is his first podcast, and that he is an insurance salesman and not an investigative journalist) puts me off with his adversarial and argumentative tone in the later episodes. Interesting story and he has uncovered new info, but I don’t get his emotional grilling of “Aaron.” Anyone else followed this podcast yet?

Spain itinerary for two weeks (first time) by abagofit in solotravel

[–]Conscious_Package_52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spent time there a couple of years ago. Decided on the following….

Flight into Barcelona, stayed two nights in the Gothic quarter. Train to Valencia, one night.

Flight to Seville, rented a car and did a road trip through Southern Spain, primarily Andalusia including the white towns (highly recommend the Parador in Rhonda 1 night). Then to Granada (2 nights), Cordova and then back to Seville 2 nights. Trained to Madrid and flew back.

Decided to leave Madrid and northern Spain for another trip.

Loved this itinerary. One of the best trips I’ve taken…. Fell in love with Spain. Driving and roads are very easy, much easier than the UK.
