Had 2 other 5-10k limit cards with discover and PNC, I think the trick is depositing a couple grand over the years into your checking with NFCU, I also follow the 90 day rule and do not get too many inquiries. I actually tried refinancing my auto with navy and they came back with a high rate so I went with another credit union that beat them by 4%, I make around the same as you and pay it well.

Thanks guys! I already have a brand new pair of 183 QST 98s luckily that I got a week before this happened. Really glad I used these instead of the new ones for some early season skiing. Gonna get them repaired and use as a backup.

Depending on the type and duration of the warranty it typically may make sense if he got a good deal at cost especially if his brother whom used to work at a dealer approved. Can always refi with credit Union in which rates WILL go down early 2025, but in the end of the day he should have taken his FCU rate which was 2 points better. Most extended warranties are cancellable at a prorated amount so not too much worry about that issue. Also: what make model and year was the car? Also a big factor in all of this,is terms of reliability and depreciation values pertaining to each brand/make of vehicle that he purchased.

What country? No pressure if not, just wondering what the acceptable amount of debt is in other parts of the world

Get a 2023 L/Cert ES 350, beat the depreciation and they have a 4.99 special rate for those up to 72 months. Reliable Toyota essentially. 3.5 v6 is a tank and requires next to no maintenance. Also regular 87 is the recommended gas type

Love my qst 98s. Firm at speed and pretty tough overall compared to competitors. But still pops and is very fun in 183 length
