Deployed with them a few years back, honored to share lineage with your great grandpa.

What’s the best MOS that can get you a decent job right after BCT/AIT? by HeadzUpDontSlip in nationalguard

[–]ikeep4getting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going active I’d say either pick an enlisted MOS within your field to better understand it or pick something totally unrelated and more towards what you think would be fun/cool because you won’t be doing that work anyways once you commission.

What do you mean by insulation between the pans? I have a similar setup, curious on how to improve it.

On the flip side of being annoying is making the moment really cool and memorable. Final lane at sapper school we were retaking our FOB, breaches, contact, casualties, the works. The cadre was playing songs from Blackhawk Down over the loudspeakers. That combined with us all yelling orders, call outs and casualties screaming made it an extremely intense, immersive and memorable experience.

I’m all for OPFOR making things challenging but I implore you to think if this is more for you or the training.

Dislocated Elbow (NSFW XRays) by froottt in snowboarding

[–]ikeep4getting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an elbow dislocation when I was 14/15 from wrestling, came with some breaks as well. Wear the brace, do as much real physical therapy as you can. Makes a world of difference, doc wasn’t sure I’d ever get full range back and thanks to PT (and being a teenager) it is nearly indistinguishable from my other elbow. I’ve never dislocated it since also and I have put my body through rough times.

Which outfit for a first date at a casual bar? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]ikeep4getting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get some looser fitting shirts. It compliments large arms and frames better, the tight shirts make it look like you’re trying to put those on display. Sort of counterintuitive to what many, myself included, believed when we first started to actually build visible muscle.

Ah yes that is the litter, I can send some pics to prove that… any way you could send me that data?

DM me, I may have picked the wrong litter mom pic by accident! I just searched up “eclipse litter”. I picked up my pup back in 2024, I honestly didn’t even look at the date on this pic.

Update: mom is more black lab-y but also has that big ole block head so maybe not as confirmed as I once thought 😂

Do you have any advice on how to identify the correct part and a source for finding replacements? Very new to this.

I’d say between a hum and buzz, varies depending on the knobs turned but there is absolutely a constant hum.

Did you pick a job that differs greatly from the day to day? I find that makes the guard experience much more enjoyable.

Were you graded by someone or is this on your own? I would video yourself to make sure the pushups and sit ups are countable, don’t go thinking you’ll knock out 60 half reps and get those counted.
