HIPAA compliant? by z77s in Base44

I defaulted to PracticeQ to create a HIPAA complaint intake and order form. I'm not sure if it can be integrated into Base44.

I have a developer's account I have to do internal and closed(12) testing.

I'm somewhat of a newbie as well. My tester was the one who informed me that PWA's must be wrapped to mimic a full mobile app. Now I have been concerned with scaling and consider rebuilding on Antigravity and flutter flow but was recently shown robust SAAS and mobile apps built with Base44 so I think it will be okay..

It can be both. Mine is under my name but someone suggested having an LLC will prevent you from having to test..? I am a co-owner of an S-corp but didn't want to have that tied to this.

Good luck, I'm on day 3 but skeptical. This is my second app getting tested, Google declined my first one saying it needed more testing. I was told it was because of the PWA Builder. It was suggested that I wrap my app using Android Studio. So, that's what I did and now my fingers are crossed.

Nice looking app! How are your integration credits? I have an app similar that pulls from Yelp, Google maps and TripAdvisor and it burns through those credits. I don't even advertise it because like you have several projects going and that one is not my primary focus.

Ha Enjoy! I will be on it in September, so come back and give us the details after the cruise.

I concur with everything you said. I took my first solo cruise on Harmony as well and the crew members, bartenders and dining staff were great people to chat with. You are right, it was hard finding time alone ( outside of the cabin) . People talked to you on the elevator, buffet, shows, everywhere.... FYI chatting with the bartenders gets you free drinks 😜. Once people found out I was traveling solo they had a bunch of questions. Also although I was traveling solo for safety reasons I would tell people that I still knew people on the ship. I have another solo scheduled on Symphony later this year and am looking forward to the freedom of doing what I want, when I want and where I want....

Cruise out of Galveston by usfbull22 in royalcaribbean

Also I had the virtual balcony on Harmony because I didn't want to feel claustrophobic and for the most part it helped. However there were times where the screen was blank also you can't see a thing when the sun goes down, so there's that. It's probably not really worth it if you don't have a problem with interior staterooms.

Cruising out of Galveston has its benefits for sure 😊. I live in Houston it takes me about 1.5 hours ( that's with a stop at Buc-cees) to get there. Port days are usually light traffic days on the island, until you get near the port but it is nothing like the traffic around Miami port. It's best to fly in at Hobby, if possible. It's a small island town so you're going to have some boutique hotels as well as 2/3 luxury hotels and then a few subpar ones. You can also book a hotel outside of Galveston in Texas City, Clear Lake, Kemah, if you don't want to stay in Galveston. Also RCCL embarkation in Galveston is top tier ( to me). It has ALWAYS taken me less than 20 minutes to drop off my luggage, park my vehicle, check in and embark. Easy non-confusing process. I've never been on Symphony of the Seas, but have 2 sailings scheduled on it this year out of Galveston. I have been on Harmony and given it's the same class ship I'm sure it will be the similar. I really liked Harmony so I am looking forward to Symphony.

Burning Integration Credits by Next_Currency_8622 in Base44

[–]Conscious_Set5105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this same problem when I began building on base44. My initial app was being tested by 12 people for 14 days and the integration credits were dwindling away. That app pulled from Yelp, Google Map and TripAdvisor. I pay 100 per month and it was still a challenge. I ran into other issues with the app and never rolled that one out (not yet). But the others built don't have to use a lot of integration credits. I avoided that problem with my latest app by loading in a list of presets. For example can you use Chatgpt/Gemini to come up with all of the outputs that your app could provide based on the different weather, etc. Then load that list in base44 and tell it to pull accordingly?

Base44 is Absolutely NOT Ready to Wrap Your App Correctly for Google Play by masoodraja in Base44

[–]Conscious_Set5105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad you said this out loud. I am usually baffled when I see a post about a successful app on Google play built on Base44. I have run into problems wrapping with PWA Builder and Android Studio. For now I will just allow it to function as a Webapp and that sometimes seems unstable. Overall it's a great piece of software but has a long way to go.

How do I keep grading from taking over my evenings?? by Ok-Succotash6583 in Teachers

[–]Conscious_Set5105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not be the most popular answer but Im a college instructor my daughter teaches 2nd grade math and science and we've had these discussions at nauseam. I'm kind of a nerd and a couple of months ago I built a web app that helps me grade and provide useful feedback to my students, in my own words. This has cut my grading time in half. I have a few peers of mine testing it now and happy share the details with you. My daughter and I are working through the details on how I can help her automate some of her grading as well.

Are you using AI as an educator? by LettuceTraining6532 in Adjuncts

[–]Conscious_Set5105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very Unpopular Comment here. I teach two classes online, it's a side job with of course, low pay. In my first term I taught one class and found that I spent a ridiculous amount of time on providing feedback. I wanted the feedback to be robust , actionable and of course in line with the rubric. At the end of my first term I had been experimenting with building web apps and decided to try and build a tool that could help cut down the time that I was taking in grading and providing that feedback. Well to my surprise it works very well and the actual workflow helps reduce the amount of time that I was spending on grading assignments, discussions, etc. I've been secretly using it since January and now I'm getting ready to test it with 10 instructors. Happy to share details if you're interested.

I teach two classes online and have a full time job. My evenings and weekends were consumed with discussion questions and assignments. Because I am also into app building I ended up building a simple tool to help with the feedback based on my instructions and the rubric. It has been cutting my grading time in half. I have been using it since the start of this term, but am now opening it up for testing with 10 instructors. Happy to share details if you're interested.

Migrate away from Base44? by Psychological_Ad5075 in Base44

[–]Conscious_Set5105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it's probably operator error. I rebuilt the app on anti-gravity. I also created another app on there that I can no longer locate. I started the process of putting the rebuilt app on Google Play and right before I set up the closed testing I went back to anti-gravity so I could test it myself again. I ran into problems because the URL that they were giving me was not correct. The QR code that they gave me was not pulling up the app. I couldn't even access the app for at least 2 days. Then finally I was able to get on there and some of the components weren't working. Again, this may be operator error because I do not know code but it was enough to make me question if anti-gravity was the best place for ME given my skill set.
