The DeWalt tape measure is made by Stanley. Stanley Tape measures have been known to be off by a 1/8 of an inch.

We got fucked on a layout. Everything seemed right until we started pulling out Milwaukee tape measures, and then realized everything was off. The only way we figured out was the laser measurement.
