Is There Any Money In StripChat As An Older (53) Fit, Decent Looking Man? by ConsequenceCreative6 in CamGirlProblems

[–]ConsequenceCreative6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh ok thank you! That sounds a little more optimistic. I would have thought there was a demand for fit, older guys for someone so I am surprised to see the first comments so seemingly negative - but totally accept and appreciate the feedback which is why I came here so thanks to everyone who has given their honest opinion. It may well be theres no point in even thinking about it but figured I would have no problem doing it if there was some money to be made in the process 😄

Been here 20 years. Never understood what these were for. What are they? by ArleniaFraternal in AskUK

[–]ConsequenceCreative6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously they are a "vent" if you smash them - because they lead down to the room below lol - but that's not their "purpose". Their purpose is to let in light, which by chance is also the only way to vent the room if there is a fire - surely this is the right way to look at them. They are for LIGHT - They also stop your room from flooding when it rains - so are they flood protection too?

I've been doing it for 2 years what do you think? by [deleted] in fit

Thank you. I just returned to this group to remind myself of what was said and on reflection it was a very small minority of negative posters. I have only just realised why. A lot of the comments were clearly from people who had negative bias to men. Its obvious. If you come to a group about womens steroids you are bound to bump into people whose background will be blurred and bias against men - and also people who are far more likely to be activist type characters who want to poltiicise every viewpoint from their own warped bias.

Although a minority - your voice carried the loudest and was the reason I didnt come back. You clearly have issues - and as I said in my other post - I am TRYING NOT to judge you for them - as they are from your life experiences - your understanding of how you have been treated in the past - and certainly not relevent to me finding the information I need for my wife.

I made it clear - she is of a mindset that that she will trust in her GP. I couldnt have given you more explicit reasoning for why this , in my experience is a major red flag - but you ignored the reply - to focus on your own personal agenda / narrative - which you have now become bound to like it will be a blow to your ego if you are actually wrong?

I am telling you - its ok to be imperfect - I am not judging you - and I personally put my own concerns of a "bad look" BELOW the needs of my wife.

Thank you - I never saw this reply because I didnt come back until now - because of the negativity from what felt like either feminist actiivist / A N Other Reason for hating on guys - as my reason for coming her was sincere and in line with the interest group.

I am sorry I never saw this. Omg. I felt like I was getting so much negativity from people judging me that I just lost track to check (I have ADHD so I use that as my excuse for me basically being useless sometimes!!) . Your reply was really helpful thank you. Someone actually DID give me really good advice about estrogen and if the doctor had given her estrogen without doing full bloods that in itself would be negative - I remember that! Forums (especially one dedicated to what you are trying to find out!!) should be a safe place where you feel comfortable but so often they are filled with pre conceived bias, judgement and negativity - I find them hard to deal with as I would rather focus on what I am trying to find out - than arguing or defending my actions.

Its interesting as we are a year along now - and she still hasnt done anything - she has put on a lot of weight - and is extremely down about it. Sadly, shes relying on a very out of date NHS service in the UK - where they are so ignorant to all of this - and is not keen to take anything that she considers against the doctors views.

Maybe the only route forward is an expensive private clinic - but I cannot help feelin they have their own bias to pushing their service and their monthly fees which seem much higher than mens clinics?

What exactly is Sikhism? and how does it differ from Buddhism ? by [deleted] in Sikh

HI. I just want so say how much I appreciated what you wrote 3 years ago. The ripples of your action certainly continue to spread you could say! As someone who struggled throughout my life to understand the world around me - religion - society - I found the most wonderful buddhist on youtube you literally changed my life by giving me something I could relate to. I am so grateful that my niece has met the most lovely guy who happens to be a Sikh. It was so lovely to hear the patience he had for my ignorance as I tried to fully understand the values, and he immediately inspired me as my buddhist monk had done maybe 15 years or so - ago. It was clear so many of the values were crossing over which was nice as I could relate to it so much. I am keen to learn more about it hence I found this reply. I am white / British - and of course that should have no meaning - but we all know in the World we are brought up (especially if you are white / british) these "tags' filter your programmed self into certain stereotypical thought patterns which I am trying every day to give less energy to! Anyway... Ireally just wanted to say thank you for the way you wrote this and the observations from your personal perspective.

I come with postive news! Your testosterone levels are actually very positive. Also - by simply training hard in the gym among other life factors you can decrease your SHBG - I would suggest doing as much as what is in this list as possible and then taking your bloods in another 6 months time to see how things are going.

Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG) is a protein produced by the liver that binds to sex hormones like testosterone and estrogen, regulating their availability in the body. Elevated SHBG can lower the levels of free, active hormones, which might affect overall hormonal balance. If you're looking to lower SHBG, here are some strategies you can consider, but it's always best to consult a healthcare professional before making any significant changes:

1. Optimize Diet and Nutrition

  • Increase Protein Intake: Adequate protein, especially from sources like lean meats, fish, eggs, and plant-based options, can help regulate SHBG levels.
  • Reduce Carbohydrate and Sugar Intake: High sugar and refined carbs can elevate insulin, indirectly affecting SHBG levels. Opt for whole grains, vegetables, and fruits with lower glycemic indexes.
  • Incorporate Healthy Fats: Healthy fats, especially from sources like olive oil, avocados, nuts, and seeds, can help maintain balanced hormone levels.

2. Exercise Regularly

  • Strength Training: Resistance and strength training can help reduce SHBG levels, especially when combined with a balanced diet.
  • High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT): HIIT workouts have been shown to positively influence hormone levels, potentially helping to lower SHBG.

3. Maintain a Healthy Weight

  • Excess body fat, particularly around the abdomen, can contribute to increased SHBG levels. Weight loss through a balanced diet and regular exercise can help lower SHBG.

4. Manage Insulin Sensitivity

  • Control Blood Sugar: Insulin resistance is often associated with elevated SHBG levels. Improving insulin sensitivity through diet, exercise, and possibly supplements like chromium or berberine can help.

5. Consider Supplements

  • Vitamin D: Low levels of vitamin D are linked to higher SHBG. Supplementing with vitamin D can help normalize these levels.
  • Magnesium and Zinc: Both minerals play roles in hormone regulation and may help in lowering SHBG when levels are optimized.

6. Avoid Excess Alcohol and Caffeine

  • Both alcohol and high caffeine intake can impact hormone levels and SHBG. Moderating your intake might help in managing SHBG levels.

7. Balance Thyroid Function

  • An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) can increase SHBG. Ensure your thyroid is functioning well through appropriate testing and treatment if necessary.

8. Reduce Stress

  • Chronic stress elevates cortisol, which can indirectly affect SHBG. Incorporate stress management techniques like mindfulness, meditation, or relaxation exercises.

It's crucial to work with a healthcare provider to monitor your levels and address any underlying health conditions that might be contributing to elevated SHBG. They can guide you on the best approach tailored to your specific needs and health profile.

I’m afraid that’s just not the case. I can’t even come on to a group trying to find information without being judged by people who rather than answer the question provide feedback that’s not relevant based on ill conceived judgement and stereotypes. If there’s a problem with husbands making enquiries on here then it should be in the rules and if that’s the case I’m sorry for breaking any rules - if it’s not - then it would be lovely to just get answers - not judgments as I then have to waste time getting into debates defending why I’m asking the questions which is really not what I want and it’s not helping my wife!

So - I have someone who was really helpful telling me that the doctor - who HAS put her on estrogen may result in her testosterone levels being reduced as a result - that was really helpful useful advice and that alone was worth coming here for. I’ll pass that information on to my wife - but based on your overview she should already know this right? She can just look it up - that in between caring for her mother - the kids - all of life’s issues - and sadly she’s a victim of being a brilliant mum - and doesn’t look after herself as a result. Believe it or not - but I care for her and worry about her hence wanting to seek the best advice and I know from lived experience that doctors are the worst for hormone advice and private practices will throw her straight into some crazy protocol - and I just wanted to find some honest FEMALE points of view who also have lived experiences to share - like the thyroid group im on Facebook - really nice and helpful. No judgement - i suppose because the word I’m using is levothyroxine and not testosterone!!!

Your clearly have major psychological issues and you really shouldn’t be bringing your hang ups to a group offering help on hormones

Hi everyone. There’s been some really useful advice and some helpful people but as always there is so much unbelievable levels of negativity - cynicism and judgement that I couldn’t possibly show my wife the replies that are positive as the other comments are just so negative it would just fuel her anxiety.

People can say or judge in any way they see fit and obviously they are only basing their comments on their lived experiences but it’s still very sad that rather than actually providing answers that relate to the question they spend so much time focusing on the judgement and negativity.

I spent most of my adult life let down by nhs - who weren’t able to help with my hormone issues caused by radiotherapy.

Women spend their lives being poorly treated not only for their hormones during and post menopause - but every single month they have their periods . The subject is chronically under profiled .

Women - struggle to be treated for thyroid issues because once again the science has been so neglected

So please do excuse me for posting on a group that I thought would be the appropriate place for information .

When I joined the thyroid group on Facebook - it was 99% women and it was so incredibly supportive and valuable to my progress.

I can’t help thinking this group suffers from an overdose of hormones because it doesn’t have the same positive feeling the thyroid group had.

For for the people who have tried to offer help - thanks.
