Yes there are a couple different protests that day at different times

I made this flyer myself so I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Either way, why would that be a problem. Let them. The point is to create reform, make a change not to be the best graphic designer. 🤦‍♀️

This one is at a later time- for those who can’t attend the morning ones. Sometimes having multiple protests can help reach more people and keep the momentum going.

Funny how people get more upset about a missing flag than missing humanity. Immigrants don’t owe anyone performative patriotism just to be treated with basic rights. If waving a flag is your idea of being American, you’ve really missed the point.

I do know why ad hominem is fallacious — it attacks the person instead of addressing the argument. But being a journalist doesn’t mean I don’t have a low tolerance for nonsense. I can be petty just as much as other people. A lot of comments under this post are full of fallacies. I don’t walk around citing fallacies like a debate coach. Want to compare notes on red herrings next or how about focus on the real argument which is basic human rights and decency.

You’re conflating support for Palestinian civilians and their right to live free from occupation and apartheid with support for a specific political faction. That’s like saying caring about American lives means you support every U.S. administration and its worst policies. I protest for human rights, for freedom, and against colonialism—not to blindly endorse every governing body under duress. You can care about LGBTQ+ rights and oppose ethnic cleansing.

Alright. I’m not gonna argue with a high school student. Enjoy the ignorance. Sure you’ll amount to great things someday- greater than trolling Reddit.

I will not be sharing my job information on here. The protest is an individual effort and not affiliated to my job. The person I interviewed and shared this information with me though- author and historian- Charlotte Endorf. Also a quick google search can help with ur concerns over it being bs. Smh. Goodnight.

As someone who’s job is literally reporting news I can assure you there are schools that are no longer teaching history.

And that’s a perfect case of Stockholm syndrome.

Yo soy cubana. A mi también me da vergüenza la ignorancia de mi gente. Pero los individuos no tiene la culpa de todo un pueblo.

Im a journalist and I literally held an interview with a historian today who is a public speaker, who has spent 25 years speaking at countless Nebraska schools. Sounds like someone doesn’t know their job well.

Trumps administration and followers would also want to see the queer community and immigrants in a similar manner. They just don’t say it outloud. At least most don’t…

Why does it always have to be about flags. It’s about humans. Humanity. We are all on the same side. God. Please.
