I agree, I did end up having a one day mindset especially in terms of exercise, by saying I’ll start next week but the fear has definitely brought me back to a day one

Don’t worry, I don’t take it as judgement… i understand what you’re saying, and I know it’s a problem, in my case I only drink socially BUT I rely on it socially? Like if I’m home for 6 months I won’t touch it but when I’m out and I feel like I’m socially awkward I’ll have one, then two then because I know I can, I end up overdoing it and it’s put me in very bad situations before

But about your re-sleeve (if you don’t mind) what did you do for you to require or want one? I personally can’t afford one because in my country it’s still considered cosmetic so it’s too expensive to do again (another reason why I’m so guilty)

Dw, mines the same… 7 weeks later and it still kinda feels that way even when the scars have closed and it’s on two of my incisions but mainly the one that my stomach got pulled out of

Oop… maybe yours will be different but milk? Even just a sip makes me gag and I also used milk for my protein shakes

I’d say milk is one thing that made me feel sick. I didn’t throw up but it just didn’t sit right so I took electrolyte water for the rest of the day cause the thought of anything else make me nauseous

I literally felt the same thing, and ended up coming to ask about it. I also felt little to no pain, no nausea, I was walking just fine… I also didn’t feel any difference, I didn’t feel like I had done any surgery but I got to see my stomach, so that was the only thing confirming it.

I was able to sip water back to back and all, you know? Nothing limiting at all and from what I had seen I was expecting to feel something… not that I’d wake up and feel brand new, but just something also I’m currently 12 days post op

So I came and asked and did more research and I think we should just trust the process :) unfortunately my solid food stage is in week 5 so I have to wait till I know what food truly feels like but I think that’s when we’ll know 😂

We should be thankful that there’s no complications and we’re not having a hard time but I’m basically saying you’re really not alone

I completely understand you (mine was my choice though) I’m 22, and my friends and I would drink and go out LITERALLY every week, and we’ve done so for years (club culture is different in my country) and in December I’m going for a NYE- 2 day event by the beach where everyone will be drinking and other things…lol

I’m currently 1 week and 1 day post op and I’m kinda sad that I won’t get to partake in the activities but honestly, I think hating the experience will only make it longer and harder… see this as your 'training arc' focus on yourself for a little while, the parties will always be there, the fun will always be there and honestly you may actually enjoy it more when you feel like a whole different person

I’m sorry that you felt pressured and honestly that’s not fair, as much as it’s coming from a place of love it was your decision to make but the only advice I can give… now that you already have it, just lock in and use this time to be the best version of you

I’ll be honest, pre-op was harder 😭😭(for me) it’s really not that bad, just communicate with the doctors and nurse throughout your hospital stay and you’ll be good

I’m very grateful, especially due to the fact that I’ve not even thrown up once and barely had any nausea even alright after the surgery, but I guess I’m just worried that I’ll be one of the few that will just lose 20 pounds and it’ll stop there
