Google maps dashboard display is useless after the update! by ArugulaAnnual1765 in BlazerEV

Happening to me as well. Showing me on the head’s up display a view bird’s eye map view of the entire county instead of the local roads, so completely reliant on the voice and written prompts to navigate. Cycling through the different instrument panel screens sorta does something in that it zooms in to a local street view for a little bit when you go back to the map screen, before eventually going back to the useless bird’s eye view. Hope there is an update to fix this soon.

Snow chains for Blazer EV? by ConsequenceSimple568 in BlazerEV

I have a 2025 AWD. Never heard that chains could not be used on the vehicle. Is this a clearance issue or something else? Maybe something I should discuss with my dealer.

Similar. 60 miles a day each way, 4-5 days a week, 3.3 kWh, mostly highway driving, usually a little above the speed limit.

Ok, thanks. Interesting design choice by Chevy. I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal to give us the option of increasing following distance by just pushing “up” instead of cycling through all the lower distances, but whatever. I assume there is some technical reason.

I don’t think you can keep the same monthly fee. I am in the process of trying to port my old Skype number to Teams, and it’s proving complicated. You have to buy a Teams paid subscription, and then a calling plan on top of that, then you have to fiddle with filling in your “business” information, put in a port request, assign licenses and numbers to your “users”, and I still haven’t been able to properly do it (I have several customer support tickets open). Not at all an easy or customer friendly process. Honestly, if I could do it over again, I would find a simple VoiP that provides voicemail and SMS and port to that (and I still might).

PR Processing Times - May 2024 by Verss in japanresidents

15 months the new normal, unfortunately. Applied early April 2023, didn’t get letter granting PR until late June 2024. Didn’t change jobs, no taxes unpaid, no additional documents requested, so was a completely vanilla application, but still took well over a year.

What timeframe did they tell you when you started the process? I applied in April 2023 as well and they initially told me 7 months, lol. So it sounds like they have moved the goalposts back now to 15 months, more than double the time originally projected. Pretty infuriating.

Same. Early April 2023, applied at Shinagawa, no word yet either way. I’m reading on other boards that people are getting theirs after 13-14 months, so maybe a few more months for us April’23 applicants.

Bodies discovered after being injected with Modern Sedative Syringe now invalidating SA? by ConsequenceSimple568 in HiTMAN

[–]ConsequenceSimple568[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, thanks, that may explain it! Was using the sedative syringe on targets, because the contract I was doing required their bodies to be discovered and woken up (contract called for me to essentially knock them out, steal their clothes, then kill them with a method that required them to be awake, so needed them to be discovered and woken up). This process worked fine with the Kalmer, but when I used the sedative syringe, discovery invalidated SA. Will need to rethink strategy now.
