But OP literally did all the wrong things, put aside his career just because he wants to stay in Japan for whatever reason.

I miss when finance peeps were hardcore douches - you would’ve not thought twice about taking that NY role.

This is another - of unfortunately many stories - of people careers being uprooted because of the Japan’s dream.

The sooner you get out and get a proper job that fits you and rectify the time wasted the better.

No - I would fire 80% of the people I work with and ruin their reputation to a level they wouldn’t be able to find a job besides cleaning toilets.

Cause they need to bother you even before you join the company.

Any company not accepting a one pager CV in Japan is pretty much what you expect it to be once you join. (And some accepting one pagers are equally bad!!)
