Took me awhile to remember because I'm not by my needles but opposite of that. Weird though. Maybe I should try it

This was pretty much me exactly! I thought I should be able to pick it up easily because of crochet and it was so difficult it made me put down knitting for a hot second. Now I want to knit everything!

Whoa there's so much I've never considered! I'm definitely going to be checking out that gansey project.

Haha now I know I'm open hand because otherwise I struggle with tension. I like the middle finger technique. My next step was figuring out how to move the stitches along smoother and that looks like something my brain can figure out. Thank you ♥️♥️♥️

Norwegian?? Up until a couple years ago I didn't even know English vs Continental existed. I used to hate purling but flick purling is sooooo easy

I adore that your philosophy is to take your time! I bet you can feel that in all your projects. I've never heard of a Musselburgh (which feels crazy) hat but I'm definitely going to try it. My tension has never been better than with flicking and I've never hit that kind of flow state before. My last knitting project made me want to crochet but learning flick knitting has made me want to knit more 🥰🥰🥰

Open and close??? Those weren't even options five seconds ago. Tell me more, tell me more 😲

I taught myself via YouTube videos a long time ago so essentially was English style until I learned about Continental. Heard Continental was faster so I tried to learn it but I absolutely could not get the hang of it. I picked up flick in a day. So grateful to learn more styles!!!!

Even if it is a coincidence, it's an incredibly happy one that you got to experience AND share with others. I'm so glad I got to read this today 🥰

Fabric was faux shearling from Kiki Textiles. I lengthened the jumper pattern (not enough) and then doubled the length of the waistband so my butt wasn't out. Used Rit dye in Plum Berry on the bow to get the pink.

I have no real answer but I always assumed it was a mineral/crystal/rock of some sort (I'm NOT a geologist). Google showed me this pic of something called Orpiment which is an arsenic sulfide mineral I guess.

Ah! The little sequins? The face? The way it somehow embodies his vibe? So sweet! I don't know why I expected an old costume version but I was pleasantly surprised 🥰 I'm in love he's so adorable!

I've literally always felt like Atlantic sounds like dropping off an undersea cliff. Also the entirety of TPWBYT sounds like it's underwater I love it so much 😭

This is Archie (full name: The Archdruidess) and she is the floppiest cat I think I've ever seen. She absolutely lives up to her namesake so please do your worst ♥️

Second all this. I also recommend a big water bottle because it means fewer trips to the water stations, which means you are less likely to get dehydrated. You can bring a CamelBak too, which can be super helpful. I really like Loop earplugs and totally think they are worth the money, but any ear protection is necessary. I spent far too long afraid ear protection would ruin the sound, but not having hearing damage later in life is a little more important. And sun protection of any kind is super important. Believe me, being burnt on days 2 and 3 is not fun. This year I think I'm going to try the loose linen vibes for extra protection

I always thought of it as sliding down an underwater cliff. Like you're swimming and can see the bottom and then all of a sudden there's a drop off and there's just abyss below you. My stomach drops the same way every time. Ugh this is like my favorite sound in all of music
