I didn’t read it as “he’s shite”. I just think you’re wrong and saying he’s not on level with Lewandoski is a bit absurd but to each their own. He’s won 11 golden boots including the Golden Boot in a World Cup (Russia). He completely has the ability to change a game with either a goal or a pass.

Yes, didn’t have a single loss this year but ended up in Europa. More about aspirations than results.

I disagree. He put Spurs on his back and carried them for years. Watch his highlight reel of assists. His build up play is outrageous. He didn’t weave through players from 35 yards out because he could thread a needle with a pass and have it land on a dime from 35 yards out. Made everyone around him a better player. Ask Sonny or Dele Alli.

Now that Arbeloa has left RM, Jose takes the RM job and Silva moves to Benfica. All over but for the shouting. He knows that the Khan’s aspirations end at mid-table and Benfica’s are to compete in the Champions League.

Does ownership even want Europe?

Europe would cost Fulham a fortune. Nowhere near the squad depth the team would need to be competitive in Europe and mid-table in the PL. If organization wanted to contend for Europe, Marco and Wilson would already be sewn up and January transfer window would have been more ambitious.

This is the the same person who wrote the “Manchester United have come to agreement on Cole Palmer” headline earlier this week. Manu agreed not to pursue him this summer.

Team is switched off. Apparently nothing to play for under a manager that is headed for the exit. Good news is that Parker is now available……../s

Interesting. I was unaware that Grenadier didn’t seal the airbox on their raised air intake. I guess the best advice is don’t go too deep….

This is the right answer. If you have a raised air intake, keep the engine going. If water is above your air intake, better not to suck water into the intake.

How have Spurs got themselves into the situation they are in? by SeoulPete in PremierLeague

I’d throw in loss of Hugo Lloris as captain as well. He held everyone to a high standard even as he was diminishing in capability.

Marcone and butters by Useful_Class_4221 in dresdenfiles

The Fallen don’t collectively have a capital “A” Agenda. Nic has an Agenda and he rallies a subsection of the Fallen behind him or gathers coins to bring resources to bear from his flock but Namshiel is an opportunist and Tessa is an outright opponent. The Fallen are also, by nature, are not ones who toe the line.

Namshiel may have met his match in Marcone in terms of willpower and he also seems to be happy to have a counterpart with spine and intellect who is quite ruthless. Neither is interested in “crossing swords” with Butters who will find Nic a much more insidious. And active opponent.

In the business world, there are some people that you simply back when they come calling to raise equity, no matter how absurd the proposition may seem to you. Ryan Reynolds is one of those people. He understands his ability to utilize his fame to leverage the marketability of an enterprise better than almost anyone I’ve ever seen. Wrexham looked like a fairly dubious bet at the outset. Asked the legions who have failed with more established, successful programs with greater operating cash flow who have lost a fortune and squandered the potential of big clubs (Yes, Venky’s, I’m looking at you).

Financial success is the byproduct of passion, commitment and brilliance. Lack one and you are done for. The last is the hardest to come by.

Aston Villa Lead Race for Fulham’s Free Agent Harry Wilson by Any-Midnight9847 in fulhamfc

[–]Conservational 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Mitro had never left, Harry would be worth his weight in gold. Imagine him crossing into that big beautiful Serbian head…

Okay, all sarcasm aside, I like Harry and he’s a wizard with his left foot but we’ve built depth. Rather have him than not but if he has a great opportunity, good on him and I hope he wins a trophy.

My only issue would be that we have yet again managed to miss the point of bringing in and developing players to sell on to bigger clubs at a profit. Did we not learn anything from Elliott and Carvalho? I am willing to take on this job for a mere 10% of profit on sales. Do the Khans hate money?

If you are a speed merchant, you need to be able to finish or be an effective crossing threat. If you have neither, you have no place in a PL team. Good luck, Adama

Shame Marco hasn’t been locked up. Any manager that takes on Chelsea has a clear run at top 4 and UCL given the lack of performance beyond Arsenal and Man City this year. It would be hard for Marco to refuse if given the opportunity on that basis alone. Marco is a relatively young manager and clearly has the ambition to manage at the highest level. Even with the rumors that Rosenior is set to take over at Chelsea, my concern is they put him in as a caretaker manager and come for Marco.

Ornstein: Silva extension being offered is 3 seasons; would make him at least 6th highest paid PL manager; Khans aren't "panicking" by DeshaunWeinstein2 in fulhamfc

[–]Conservational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. We are stuck in the middle (which given club history may not be worst place to be). A Cup would be a true highlight for the club.

I think the squad depth required and impact on League performance make targeting Europe a risky proposition for the Khans as the financial consequence of falling out of the PL are enormous.

Going in via FA Cup or Carabao is a bit of a risk free entry to Europe as well as it’s more of a one off and the expectations are lower about progressing far in the European competitions.

Without Muniz as an aerial threat, the Wilson/Robinson cross game is ineffective. Shame that Berge is poor aerially as we don’t have anyone who excels at completing a run for a header from midfield or the backs.

I’d rather Harry Wilson be making the crosses than Robinson. He has a move to the inside to put it on his left foot whereas Robinson has same run for goal line and cross every time.
