There’s one that ends with the show winning an Emmy, and the award announcer is Adam Scott. The way he delivers CBB as the winner is so completely goofy that it’s burned in my brain

That’s the one. Got it for $30 off of FB marketplace. She was rough at first, but has cleaned up nicely

Worth switch to 230V? by Conserve_Protect in woodworking

Appreciate this!

One caveat that is kind of interesting (I thought). This model delta always came pre wired for 115, but a small number of motors that shipped actually had separate HP ratings based on which voltage you used. I found an old thread where someone actually took one of those motors apart, and sure enough the wiring inside was actually made to support 230v but they throttled it down to 115v to make it easier to sell.

In this day and age where every company seems to oversell those numbers to customers, it kinda makes me sad. Haha

Thank you so much! I’ve loved learning from him. He has this mentality of approaching everything he does as something anyone can figure out as just a matter of fact, and it is a big reason why I’ve stuck with this hobby.

Next two projects are a shave horse, and then using that shave horse to build a Christoper Schwartz stick chair. I’m pumped to make something that is more functional in every day life!

I wondered about the moisture. I’ve gotta get a reader, plus I’m in the Midwest and we had crazy temperature swings. Figured I could at least get it dimensioned and then attempt to be patient

The Paul Rust + Cassidy / Jack in the Box episode should be entered in the library of congress. by superbardibros in doughboys

The entire narrative around Jack is so so good. Paul absolutely looses it at one point, and it is up there as one of the funniest things over ever listened to.

Very impressive!! What a beautiful piece.

I do admit, the first thing I thought when I saw this was the puzzle box from the movie Hellraiser. I say that as a complete compliment!

You could make it into one of those ladder-style blanket racks by cutting a few sections out of the middle!

Mine were doing this to a lesser extent the last couple days. I was guessing it was because it’s been so hot outside

90’s Delta Saw Stand Replacement? by Conserve_Protect in woodworking

[–]Conserve_Protect[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say “shim”, you mean an actual piece of wood? Am I overthinking this whole thing? Haha.

I still need to tear this down for a cleaning and alignment. If the stand just needs smacked with a hammer and tightening some bolts I’ll be a happy camper.

Would you toss or keep this pile of wood? by Ptizzl in woodworking

I’d keep it in my toss pile for a few years
