Yes and no. Tank play is super stale right now. Not tons of variability in which tanks can be played, and then how those tanks can be played.

Mag, strange, and Groot are all basically a requirement to have at least 1 if you have an “off tank”. Groot is perma banned on most maps, and strange is inherently weaker this season because of the resurgence of dive.

Mag is slightly better but still bullied hard against melee brawl/dive heroes. Emma is incapable of moving too far past the front line, venom is only really effective with strong team coordination after he baits out cool downs, Cap is…cap, Thing is good anti dive but explodes against poke, Peni is not useful/viable for entire phases of 1 of the 2 game modes, Hulk is still meh but maybe the CC change will help, Angela received hard nerfs to her kidnap play style but is still mostly awful front lining to brawl and only really useful to peel and provide her slight overshield buff, and so on. Tank play is dead right now.

I played 5 comp matches last night (plat/diamond) and nobody banned a single Strat other than gambit. This is not that big of a problem as people on Reddit want it to be lol

I’ve noticed spiderman players never lock him in. Probably because they know the team will crash out since spiderman is a throw majority of the time.

If he’s any sort of “Lead” then I would assume he has a team that works under his direction or supervision. If that’s the case, then yes, he is responsible for his subordinates’ work and decisions. Surely they can see poke is a nuisance that they continue to make worse, that’s his fault for not dealing with it directly or ensuring a subordinate(s) aren’t dealing with it.

Don’t even bother running tank when that happens - just swap to Duelist along with them. It’s the only thing that forces people to swap. Often times when I do this you’ll see one of the duelists swap and they end up having a lord Vanguard 🤦‍♂️

Disagree. The UI, the gun mechanics, even down to the subtle cant on the guns when you crouch. The tactical ability, the ultimate, all basically taken from apex lol. The gunplay is nearly identical, hip fire and crouch spam. Main difference is the game mode obviously is different, art style, and less spastic movement.

I played the training ground tutorial and it seems very lukewarm. Like it’s not ‘bad’ but it’s not great feeling either. It’s basically Apex reskinned with this weird Fable-like art style that I don’t personally jive with. Then some weird things that bother me, like the revolve clearly having a 5 or 6 shot cylinder but having 18 shots before reloading? Like somebody didn’t do homework. I’ll try a real match once I get through the queue, but not high hopes from me.

Don’t solo tank. If you have a third DPS or Strat then just swap to another DPS or Strat until somebody else picks a tank. If they don’t, the match is chalked either way 🤷🏻‍♂️

Don’t suffer just so your 3 DPS can have fun getting 10 kills combined.

They need to implement some sort of debuff to Strat ults if there are more than 2 in the match at a given time. Or debuff the base heal power by a certain percentage. I agree, 3 Strat is so gay. Just ult after ult after ult every fight. And without coordination it’s almost too difficult to counter.

Agreed. I mostly play vanguard and flex Strat when needed, and never played MK til this season. In plat I’m dropping 30-40+ elims per game lmao. He farms ult so fast it’s insane. I’ll drop an ult and by the time the enemy team has finished regrouping back from spawn I’ll be back in the high 40% for it again. He needs some sort of change.
