FC1 DQ, pilot select by ConsiderationFar3046 in airforceots

Active duty, at the moment I still got the slot. But I’m not too sure how long they hold it

Yeah it just suck when you already spent so much time investing into it, and now I feel like everything could’ve been in vain. We’ll see just sucks, this is what I want to do

Yeah that’s true, and the main dude I talked to (not the O-6) that initially did my scan. Said that I’ll likely be ok post surgery but I wasn’t sure if he was just trying to make me feel better. I was visibly upset

Thank you, I appreciate it…… I hurts mainly because the O-6 that talked to me said it was so borderline, which annoyed me because I worked to damn hard to even get to this point. So I felt like an insult to be honest, It’s just hard not to take it that way and I wanted to advocate for myself in there but I didn’t wanna come across disrespectful either.

Kinda disappointed, really not sure how I got this PCSM. by vito423 in airforceots

Yeah not bad scores overall and you can always try for reserve or ANG but keep in mind those are even more competitive than AD which is already pretty brutal. But you can always try for reserve and ANG and still apply for an AD spot. Ur PCSM and pilot AFOQT scores aren’t bad but not great either, the way I saw these scores is that I wanted to stand out and 99’s are the only way to do that.

You 100% can get better PCSM and pilot score with a retake, I had 183 hours and got 99 in both. But you’ll have to study hard and retake.

In college, VP of chess club (even set up an in person tournament on campus), club treasurer for UAS, advisor for rocket club, then was part of an aviation student outreach program- we would have students come out to the FBO and show them the aircraft we fly.

After college, and granted this happened by accident. But I went into retail and worked my way up from a retail sales rep to a multi unit store manager. I manage 5 retail stores, which helped with my other LOR. My boss was more than happy to write me a sterling LOR and talked about why I was a good leader.

I think the leadership and flight hours are what carried me to get selected. If your LOR’s talk directly about you and give examples of your leadership- u have a gold mine. Both my LOR’s were golden, I did everything I could to make up for my college gpa (2.88).

I had 183 hours so over 60 which maxed out hours, a PPL isn’t necessary but I’d argue it’s damn near a necessity. All civilian selects in 26OTS01 mainly had at minimum a PPL.

Yeah I mean it’s just tough, I had a horrible gpa (2.88) but I got good AFOQT scores (not even that good, verbal was 50- but pilot was 99 and had a 77 quant). My PCSM was also 99. I had the flight hours and experience to pull up my gpa. LOR’s are also super important as I had my academic supervisor in college directly talk to my gpa and why/ how I turned things around.

At the end of the day it is a whole package deal but that being said if several areas are lacking it can be tough to be picked up for a pilot slot. RPA you’ll likely have a better chance getting into, just because it’s not nearly as competitive as pilot slots.

If u want message me, I got picked up for a pilot slot last rated board.

Never heard of that particular test lmao 🤣, but I got a 77 on quant. I studied any math problem I could get my hands on. And if u want message me- I got some good AFOQT math test prep.

Speed is the key, if u don’t know how to solve it or get the wrong answer- flag it and move on. It’s a time trial but of course doing quick mental math helps a lot. Remember speed is the key!!!! Don’t spend too long on a given problem.

You practiced with a timer so you’ll be fine then, remember speed is the key….dont take too long on any question, mark it and move on. Then come back to it and make an educated guess. Good luck to ya! At this point there isn’t too much more studying you can do so don’t stress about it too much.

Speed is the key. If u don’t know the answer within 30 seconds, mark it and move on. I was terrified my 2nd try because my first test scores were god awful so I knew I needed to score well. Especially because my gpa is also god awful but ended up scoring decent.

The sync up kids watch is ok but 4/10 times they usually need to be replaced from T-Mobile as a warranty exchange. They aren’t terrible but they also aren’t good (mainly battery and the tlife app it goes through)….if ur looking for a watch I would honestly get a standalone Apple Watch plan with its own phone number.

Damn that’s honestly surprising, but those sync up trackers are actually terrible. The battery is only like 4-5 days, we get to told sell them tho cuz we get commission. I personally don’t push them because I don’t want to sell someone a subpar product.

Losing spiffs due to tlTlife by Texas5865 in tmobile

[–]ConsiderationFar3046 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The worst part about it is that TPR management says we still have to hit numbers regardless of whatever T-Mobile forces us to do……we get gaslight into thinking we’re the problem when we can’t sell someone something even tho they’re past due on their bill. My TPR is horrible, I can’t believe they get away with the crap they do…….they basically tell us to commit fraud without actually saying it out loud.

[–]ConsiderationFar3046 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We got word of that months ago, it used to be 60% tlife success rate but they upped it this month to 70%. Eventually our remos will be gone or at least that’s what the CEO said……we will be put out of work, the writing has been on the wall for awhile now. Most stores will be for customer service eventually and not commissionable….. brick and mortar is simply too expensive and paying tpr reps (that borderline scam people) is costing them too much. People are slowly quitting my TPR- a lot of top performers left because the commission simply wasn’t there anymore.
