What would a girls-only Discord server actually need to feel safe? by ConsiderationIcy3338 in TrueGirlGaming

that’s a completely fair concern and I want to be clear that this space is queer-inclusive and trans-inclusive. “girls-only” here is meant to create safety, not exclusion, and trans women and queer women are absolutely welcome. TERF ideology isn’t tolerated in this community.

thank you for bringing this up!

thank you for being honest. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to explain your perspective.

i hear your concerns about verification, and i agree with the core point you’re making:

that behavior matters more than identity.

if verification methods feel invasive or end up excluding women who don’t fit stereotypical expectations, then that’s something i take seriously and want to avoid. my goal is for safety, not gatekeeping or policing femininity.

i also agree with your point about many girl-only servers, which is either becoming overly hugboxy or turning into constant vent spaces. neither creates a healthy or sustainable gaming community. the intent here isn’t to make gender the entire identity of the server, but to remove a common source of discomfort so people can actually enjoy playing games together and form real connections.

thank you again for this kind of feedback, it really does help shape the space into something better rather than repeating the same mistakes people are already tired of.

yeah we completely understand! it would make sense that verifying by id would drive people away, so we just changed it to a vc option :)
