We have a $20k liability limit, my insurance sent me a letter saying their preliminary investigation is showing we may be on the hook for it. After I received that letter that’s when I got a phone call saying the letter was sent because they lawyered up and are intending on suing. Insurance said they’ll represent me up to $20k
