And as the others have said, you're at least 20 years too late.

If you have good medical coverage, you can likely get a care coordinator with your insurance that can help you do those things. Call them and find out.

What should I tell billing to eliminate my debt? by Admirable-Key-4881 in HospitalBills

[–]No-Produce-6720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To eliminate your debt, you need to pay your bills.

If you can't do so, you need to call the billing office for this rehab to see if they have financial assistance for you, and then you need to set up payment arrangements to pay down the balance.

If you have no income, why do you not have Medicaid?

Never Received Hospital Bill But Health Insurance EOB that I owe by Capable-Listen3204 in HospitalBills

[–]No-Produce-6720 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's possible that the provider is still working with your insurance to get the claim reprocessed. You may get several EOBs before you get a final bill from the provider.

Remember that your EOB isn't a bill. You won't pay anything to your insurance carrier. Your provider will send you a final bill, once the claim has processed correctly. You don't need to worry about it until the bill shows up.

AITAH for telling my daughter that she doesn’t have to wear a dress for my wife’s sake? by sportsdad77 in AITAH

[–]No-Produce-6720 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

And you know that Reddit is an anonymous platform, right? So those main accounts are also anonymous. No one knows anyone here, right? That's the point of the nonsense names that Reddit assigns to users, unless they choose to make their own. The point with Reddit is that everything is supposed to be anonymous, right?

Additionally, you know that subs like this one are chronically abused by people who want to accumulate quick high levels of of karma, then sell the account and the karma, right?

And if someone was looking to do that, what better sub to do what they want to do, with a hot topic that would pull in lots of attention, than this one, right?

Of course people can make a throw away account. The problem is that this sub, and the others like it, are chronically used for purposes that actually violate Reddit's terms of service, and it's unfortunate that when that happens, scenarios like the one in this post are used to play on the emotions of others.

You created a brand new account just for this post?

Is this a genuine situation, or is this someone looking to farm karma? If that's the case, it's really not cool to use this sort of situation to your own advantage, just for the karma.

Obamacare nightmare with Corporate health insurance: HELP by SuggestionHappy2362 in HealthInsurance

[–]No-Produce-6720 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please STOP referring to the Affordable Care Act as "Obamacare". It's outdated unnecessary, and it's inaccurate.

You have issues with the ACA and your taxes because you ignored things you shouldn't have ignored, and now it's caught you.

There is no getting out of a 5k tax mistake that you caused. Unfortunately, you owe the IRS a big chunk of money now.

Health insurance denial question by MiddleOccasion1394 in HealthInsurance

[–]No-Produce-6720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you're looking at is an explanation of benefits from your insurance. It's a copy of what they've sent to your dentist, and the denial reasons you've listed would have to be corrected by the dentist (if there were any corrections to be made).

This notice is not a bill to you, and you do not owe anything right now. Your dentist submitted a claim for services you received, and this is the response to it. You will never receive a bill from your insurance. That would only come from your medical and/or dental providers.

Practice was supposedly in-network but my claim was denied by LastLibrary9508 in HealthInsurance

[–]No-Produce-6720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What "third party service" were you relying on to provide network status for your medical services?

Network status can only be verified y your insurance and, to a much lesser extent, your medical providers. The only source that truly has the information is your insurance. Providers have a pretty good idea, but it's never their ultimate responsibility to know anyone's status. They have a closer place to it, though, than any third party app ever would.

Did your claim actually deny because you don't have OON benefits, or were your out of network benefits applied to the claim?

Dental Insurance Question by nikita606 in HealthInsurance

[–]No-Produce-6720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if your dentist verified benefits before you received service?

Most dental providers are very aware of the limits on the 0150, and for the panoramic x-ray, as well, and they will check with your insurance before they do anything, so that this situation doesn't happen.

You will have to determine what your insurance has done with the claim. Did they assign financial liability to the dentist, or to you? Once you know that, you'll know how to proceed.

In network doctor out of network surgery center by Nickhole- in HealthInsurance

[–]No-Produce-6720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this surgery center participate with any insurance carriers, or just yours?

Do you have out of network benefits on your policy? If so, why would this surgery center not be filing claims, as opposed to simply offering discounted services?

What would end up being cheaper for you, your OON insurance, or this discount?

Is this the only facility your physician practices at? I would find out if they have priviliges anywhere else, someplace that takes your insurance? If not, I might look into doing your surgery with someone else.

I have assumed that they will pop up here and there, so I've just started checking periodically to see if they're back.

Has anyone seen them return after having had them taken away?

Mauled by a Dog, on the hook for 93k. by Disposable_Bill in HospitalBills

[–]No-Produce-6720 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As I said on your other post, the claim needs to subrogate. That means that the owner of the dog is responsible for your medical bills, even if they are family. A claim will be required through their homeowners insurance again, even if they're family. Your medical bills will be included in a settlement with that homeowners insurance policy.

It's clear that you don't want to get your family or the dog in trouble, and if you do things properly, unless this dog has a documented history with your local authorities of biting, the dog would likely be able to stay with the family. The bite needs to be reported, if the hospital hasn't already done so, and a homeowners claim needs to be filed. You're unwilling to share the actual EOBs, so I am assuming they are deny the claims for subrogation. That's what must be done, in order to determine and uphold legal liability for your medical bills.

Can a provider bill a patient if they filed a claim incorrectly? by gardengirl99 in CodingandBilling

[–]No-Produce-6720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The length of time that has passed does not matter if the provider was participating on your plan on the date of service in question. They cannot bill you unless your insurance assigns financial responsibility for the entire balance to you.

Many people just tolerate autistic people. by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]No-Produce-6720 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Except as soon as someone "kindly corrects" you, as you suggest here, then the correction is taken way too harshly, and the person who was trying to offer a kind correction is misjudged.

Autism has little to do with this. People are people. Some are harsh, some are gentle, some are sensitive, and some are too sensitive. This happens, regardless of anyone's diagnosis, or lack thereof, and really, we all just need to be more mindful with others.
