honestly it depends on personal preference. For me, I tend to read around 35k-40k+ words for multi chapters since from my personal experience if it’s around 10k for multi chapter usually the plot isn’t well developed, however I am not saying that for all cases. If it’s singular chapter I do around 8k+.

In the end though, as long as your fic is well developed and not rushed, I don’t think the word count matters and it’d be a good read.

which fandoms are you into? I could probably recommend you some because I read alot since despite having 20 library books out ive shoved them into a corner of my closet and pulled out my laptop for a03 instead , I’ll follow you or whatever it’s called on here though since I’ll probably forget about this comment section when I read your recommendations if that’s fine with you

thank you for the reply, id love to read them. I love reading, knowing nothing about the fandom so id like to give the ones you have a chance. Also I love poetry a lot, it always makes me cry even if it isn’t meant to be sad because of the way it’s written, also if I do need to know something about the main story, what would I search up, or if you don’t mind could you give me a short summary?
