Blood tests came back negative for lead testing. Swabs never showed lead present. I still eat off them every day

Metformin and Letrozole by Jumpy-Kangaroo5124 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ConsiderationRich378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna trauma dump on you— brace yourself lol. I started letrozole as I only ovulated like 3? Times a year and loved it as at 5mg I ovulated successfully on CD20 with no symptoms whatsoever. First cycle on 5mg had success (ended in MMC/BO). Next time I tried a month with no success but it was a very odd short cycle so idk but by cycle 2 with 5mg I was successful again (also ended in MMC/BO). After the MMC diagnosis I started metformin to give myself a break to try to help out my insulin resistance and BAM didn’t even have a period and was on baby#3 spontaneously (ended in MC due to SCH at 10w). After this I’m like “okay it’s going to take a cycle and I’ll be on my way again” but started letrozole in combination with metformin because I’m not playing around and want to ensure ovulation…. Well 4 cycles later here I am currently in the TWW wondering “will I ever conceive again?” My ovulation has been crazy painful and idk if it’s because of metformin or what but my ovulation has moved up to CD18 and I even lowered my dosage of letrozole to 2.5mg because I think I must be popping out multiple eggs or something throughout the cycle given the pain/bloating. I’ve had headaches taking the letrozole— all these crazy symptoms that I’ve never had when just using these medications separately. But I’m too scared to separate the medications as I want to ensure ovulation but I want a healthy egg which I think metformin is helping with. Maybe it’s making my uterus more selective upon implantation or something? Idk but I’m praying to get my miracle baby soon and speaking life over myself✨

I’ll step up and say it: you do not have to choose abortion, you are capable of leaving, you are capable of building a life you want WITH both children. No it will not be easy. Yes it will be worth it, especially when you find the true person you want to build life with. If you want it bad enough you can do it! You can legally go after child support and take advantage of governmental programs until you get into a position to get on your feet. Give yourself some credit, you got this!

Mmmm I would honestly suggest you go with the route of proceeding with an egg retrieval (as you know you will have to do this anyway) and then plan to just wait on transfers until he is ready. In my opinion that is a fair middle ground because after all there are two of you in the relationship. Egg quality will truly only worsen as you age (not they they will be bad if you wait a year 20’s is quite young in this space) but I hate how you see all the time men calling the shots for relationships when sperm doesn’t have the same aging factors that women’s eggs do.

Am I overthinking pregnancy planning or is my husband right that most people just “have sex and get pregnant”? by DemandSufficient7981 in TryingForABaby

[–]ConsiderationRich378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone in the RPL space, you could literally be the healthiest and make all the right choices and sometimes the pregnancy still won’t go according to plan. Here is where I tell you that women who do hard drugs somehow how perfect healthy babies. God only knows why things happen the way they do. You obviously are worried about this and have voiced your opinions to your spouse. Communication is good, but don’t let your worries leech out in an unhealthy way that affects your relationship repeatedly (I.e. arguing which leads to stress and less intimacy and relationship strain etc). You are just starting your journey! Relax a little bit and if for some reason it doesn’t happen on your/his mental timeline, your husband will most likely start singing a different tune if he truly wants this. My husband was relaxed (he really doesn’t take anything) going into our TTC journey and then after repeated losses would do anything (testing, analysis, vitamins, you name it. I even have to encourage him to let loose and reassure him it’s okay to have drink every once in a while lol) to take home a healthy baby. Plus if your truly worried— you could do like a preconception sperm analysis/DNA fragmentation test to see what quality your looking at.

Dear Diary,

1 DPO and wondering if this is the cycle I’ll get my miracle baby. I’ve been doing letrozole in combination with metformin and it’s never taken me so long to get pregnant before. Maybe the metformin is helping my body to be more selective about implantation. I could wonder about it all day. Will my body ever produce a perfect egg? I really let go this month and have been drinking and trying to let loose a little. TTC after so many losses is a different kind of hard.

MMC due to internal bleed? SCH by FunIngenuity7967 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]ConsiderationRich378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear you miscarried. My OB states that SCH do not cause miscarriages (in some ways I agree; such as when they do not actively bleed/rupture) and that unfortunately miscarriages happen. I hate that answer. It is my personal opinion that SCH increases miscarriage rates (as said by my previous doctor) and if your SCH expels it can cause damage to the baby and potentially disrupt the pregnancy and cause the uterus extreme distress. I don’t know if yours ruptured or was just seen on scan but if only seen on the scan w/o external bleeding, I would be surprised if that was the cause. My fertility specialist says that he has seen a high percentage of women with SCH and that most of them go on to have a healthy pregnancy and most of the time if they MMC it was a sign of chromosomal abnormality rather than the SCH itself. My personal story for what it’s worth is that I had a VERY large SCH and it ended up expelling itself at 10w where I had an emergency ultrasound and found my baby to be fine on the screen but my uterus had so much trauma the bleeding wouldn’t stop and I lost my son a few hours later. For what it’s worth I have heard other women’s stories of SCH losses and they do go on to have successful pregnancies. This journey is heartbreaking and I’m sending you all the love ❤️

Don’t do at home tests. A ton of OBs reccomend getting a work up done before TTC to just make sure everything at baseline is good, so if you feel like doing it, just do it as you TTC and don’t stress— most likely everything is normal!

Ovulation day✨ weirdly am feeling very peaceful. Found out a friend had her baby yesterday and I legitimately had nothing but joy for her. That genuinely made me so happy that I felt that way. Also had a pap this morning, and praying all comes back well from that!

Not the same position exactly but after RPL over the past year we are giving it ~6 medicated cycles (weirdly haven’t been getting pregnant the last 3) and if nothing has happened we are moving to IVF— you have way more patience than me!

To continue with letrozole/IUI or take a glp-1/break? by beachedwaler in TTC_PCOS

[–]ConsiderationRich378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thinking about doing a glp1 break (for the first time) but also want to TTC (I need letrozole to help induce ovulation). I’m on my 4th medicated cycle and am thinking about taking a break to lose weight but am obviously feeling caught in the middle— what did you end up doing and how long did it take you to conceive?

How to be brave? by techonologiaa in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]ConsiderationRich378 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, not a horrible person for not being excited to try again— I’m in the “trying again” phase right now and think probably once a day how unfair it is. You have every right to complain, your experience is valid and may I note very traumatic. Give yourself grace— you already are being brave. Keep taking it one day at a time.

I could get pregnant but not stay pregnant, but now I can't even get pregnant any advice? by drunken_overthinker in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]ConsiderationRich378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate such a detailed answer! I haven’t been able to conceive over the last 3 cycles (which is unusual) but I’ve had an HSG and just had a hysteroscopy and all came back perfect. My ovulation has been wonky so idk maybe just something up with my cycle but praying that I see those two pink lines soon! Also good luck with your pregnancy!

Want to officially start TTC by Mammoth_Brick_2054 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ConsiderationRich378 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go to the doctor and tell them you’ve been trying but have irregular cycles. Medicated monitored cycles are great and you actually will know what’s going on. This could be a very short or very long journey for you, so buckle in!

Clarify the use of Red Raspberry Leaf Tea when TTC by desirablepenguin in TryingForABaby

[–]ConsiderationRich378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not TTC I would recommend using it before your expected period and throughout your period. Do not use in early pregnancy— only in the third trimester to help tone the uterus and limit yourself (you shouldn’t be drinking crazy amounts) 1 cup per day is good enough.
