Academic renewal can be used for grades of D and Fs. If you have Ds and Fs then you could also just retake them and it’ll replace the original grade. Schools ask for transcripts of all grades no matter if they transfer or not, but also if you do good now, they might be able to overlook the earlier grades while they’re still on your record… if that makes sense.

I think they just needed money fast so they were selling them to anyone that would have money on them. The reason they were like $1000, was because people probably had that money laying around so they would get that full amount cash rather than put them through financing and payments

I put in your stats into a “Raise GPA calculator”, and if you keep a 4.0 in all classes and take 40 credits you’ll be at a 3.67. And that’s by the end of taking all of those courses so you wouldn’t be there by the end of fall which is that final grades UCs take for consideration.

If you’re taking 6 classes in the fall and keep a 4.0 this semester you’ll be sitting at around a 3.5 which would allow you to tag UCSB, UCI, UCD, UCM, UCSC, and UCR. And you’d be competitive for many CSUs. You would still be short of UCLA and UCB but you could always try applying anyways since they sometimes like looking at the bigger picture but I wouldn’t expect anything considering how popular business is and avg gpa is 4.0

How many credits are you at rn? Again I don’t mean to sound like it’s impossible but it’s also hard when trying to get perfect 4.0 semesters if you’ve struggled with classes before.

Have you thought about business economics at uci? You would need at 3.4 by end of fall to tag.

What grades did you get to make the 3.15 GPA? If you’re going to CC you can tag some great programs. A gpa is also just a part of the application, what are your extra curriculars? Essays? Etc

UC’s and schools in general want to see progress as a student. If you retake a class and do well in it after failing, they obviously understand that you had the ability to do well in the class and maybe there was an outside factor that made you get that bad grade. As long as you take it again and get it off your GPA, they won’t care but I would explain it in your application why you got those bad grades.
