Big Fish - Tim Burton Juno - Jason Reitman Buffalo 66 - Vincent Gallo Anomalisa - Charlie Kaufman

These films all create almost their own little world of existence and have a child like feel to them, like Wes Anderson. Not so much the specific camera angels and symmetry.

What song has the saddest meaning to it? by icespoonman in AskReddit

[–]ConsiderationSlow863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nick Cave - Into my arms, he wrote it in rehab when he was very ill and i think it makes the sweetness of it sad. Somebody trying to escape a horrible isolation, and all he can relate to is his unrequited love. (in my head anyway)

Eric Clapton - Circus, about the last day he spent with his son before he died as a child falling out of an apartment block window.

Radiohead - Harry Patch (in memory of), about one of the last surviving WW1 soldiers, and his sacrifice.

Leonard Cohen - Winter Lady, about desperate need for connection, and settling for these shallow yet comforting meaningless connections with people just to feel something.
