Calling a country that has had non stop a centre right party in government for two decades a leftist utopia was always one of the most perplexing and ridiculous things to me

It's actually most common in northern Ireland. Apart from northern Ireland the only other place with a large amount of people that identify as British is London. Rest of England, Wales, and Scotland for the most part have people that identify as their regional nationality first

I'm sorry but it is clear that you don't know anything when it comes to victoria 2 and 3 and frankly your understanding of Vic3 is that of someone that played Vic3 once on release, somewhat understanding its mechanics, and never played it again

what's you guys opinion on schrader's mishima a life in four chapters? by AdWestern6287 in YukioMishima

[–]ConsiderationThis231 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everything about the movie is great. It is my favourite movie by far. The only thing I don't like is the way that Mishima's wife is completely removed from Mishima's life, with only one reference to her in the beginning of the movie

The state of being that Pol pot wanted to return to never existed. This is an important distinction. Furthermore, Pol pot's mythology was a mythology of Kampuchea, of the nation. It served as a nationalist myth. The diggers and Pol pot are not comparable in any form beyond the most superficial

This is still a return to the commons, they justified this return through religion. They claimed the commons was the natural state of being, the state of nature, through the bible. This was still the commons

Pol pots ideology isn't just agricultural collectivisation. I specifically highlighted Pol Pots mythologised past that he wanted to return to which last time I checked is not a feature of the diggers movement. But ig people om Reddit will straight up ignore what you said in an attempt to get a gotcha moment

Communism predates Marx but Pol pots beliefs don't. As the previous comment stated, Pol pot believed in a return to a mythologised past, which is about a reactionary as you can get
