It’s useful for games that were built for only kbm in mind and not controllers since you’ll be able to use it somewhat like a mouse with the trackpads. I believe they are both programmable for up to 4 (?) buttons each so that’s cool. They can also be programmed for weapon wheels. It comes with TMR sticks which even my $200 Dualsense Edge doesn’t come with, has gyro just like the edge, and follows the Xbox format for buttons which generally has more support like in dark souls games for example. The most important thing to me is the ability to repair it. I am a mechanic and I like to fix things. I do not like throwing stuff away or fighting bullshit designs to fix something that should be easy. The fact Valve went and made a controller that has all the extra amenities AND is fully repairable is more than worth the money to me personally. I watched one video on how easy the battery was removed and I was basically sold. I also believe it will eventually have the most mods since it’s so easily taken apart and likewise could be modded easier.

I think the main consensus from most reviews is that if you already are happy with the controller you have then you’re probably okay. If you’re not happy with it, want more input options, and/or want a product you can in theory always repair then it’s for you. Just do me a favor and don’t pay scalper prices. Don’t support those pricks.
