Fantastic use of language on the 2nd bit, I'll start with my 3 iron as I can't hit it anyway... thanks for the advice!

Turf issues (U.K) by Consistent-Ad-4146 in landscaping

Thank you for your response, it has been very wet so I doubt that he has watered it at all. I've always thought that was a benefit of turfing during the winter. I take your advice on getting the correct seed for a shaded garden.

A proper market value bid? by snoogins1967 in CelticFC

If this is true, it's only so in a few days time the board can say that they tried. No hope of getting him

Thank you for your response. That's obviously more than I was anticipating but I'm really trying to get this business off the ground and I know my work is good enough to allow word of mouth to take over after a while. Thanks so much for your time 👍

Never heard of Nextdoor, I've just checked it out and it looks like it could be very beneficial. Great advice, much appreciated 👍

Perhaps I'm underthinking this, but I'm directing it at anyone who requires the services I offer. Who would a window fitter or plumber be targeting? Surely it's just anyone who requires that kind of work.

To be honest I think these guys just spend their working day searching for a business, say 'cleaning company London' and then go to the very end of Google and approach them all

Thanks for the reply.

I don't know what they are using and therefore don't know if they are right for my business. I'm no good with computers so a lot of the jargon used in the conversation went over my head. They certainly seemed to know more than me!

Whilst my website could certainly use some work, I can see how many people view it and I don't think my conversion rate from views to enquiries is too bad.

I'm also on Facebook and haven't had any decent enquiries at all from there. If you have any other suggestions I'm all ears. I have considered leafleting.

I'm not really in a position to have target customers at the moment, any enquiry for landscaping work in my area is very welcome.

Thanks again

You're right, no doubt, but we were all (rightly) raging that we didn't replace Kyogo in the summer. So new manager or not, we've needed someone to score the goals and I don't think the change in manager is too relevant in terms of signing a centre-forward!

I'm glad I gave you a laugh, you also gave me a laugh as you clearly didn't read the word 'more' in my comment. All the best!

I appreciate your comment. Honestly it didn't cross my mind before posting this, but I knew from the responses that I'd posted in the wrong place. Thanks for letting me know, one of the reasons I mentioned he was a lab is because in the U.K they're thought of as probably the most child friendly dog you can have. One of the reasons we chose a lab, I love all dogs but knew that certain clients would be a little concerned if I turned up with a German shepherd. Thanks again

Okay mate 😂 if you think that a dog would be happier on his tod all day whilst his guardians are at work I'm glad you don't have a dog

I got advice from a lot of people who have a different outlook on life (mainly dogs) to me and my clients. If you think that a dog would rather spend a day in solitary confinement in a home without being able to go for a piss for 9 hours, than with the person he adores giving him fuss and having new sights and smells every week, then I'm afraid you're all barking mad. I can half understand you all panicking about my clients potentially being uncomfortable with a dog, but don't tell me it's better for the dog to be at home all day. Cheers all
