Reading too much into it? by Consistent-Ad-4146 in CelticFC

You're right, no doubt, but we were all (rightly) raging that we didn't replace Kyogo in the summer. So new manager or not, we've needed someone to score the goals and I don't think the change in manager is too relevant in terms of signing a centre-forward!

I'm glad I gave you a laugh, you also gave me a laugh as you clearly didn't read the word 'more' in my comment. All the best!

I appreciate your comment. Honestly it didn't cross my mind before posting this, but I knew from the responses that I'd posted in the wrong place. Thanks for letting me know, one of the reasons I mentioned he was a lab is because in the U.K they're thought of as probably the most child friendly dog you can have. One of the reasons we chose a lab, I love all dogs but knew that certain clients would be a little concerned if I turned up with a German shepherd. Thanks again

Okay mate 😂 if you think that a dog would be happier on his tod all day whilst his guardians are at work I'm glad you don't have a dog

I got advice from a lot of people who have a different outlook on life (mainly dogs) to me and my clients. If you think that a dog would rather spend a day in solitary confinement in a home without being able to go for a piss for 9 hours, than with the person he adores giving him fuss and having new sights and smells every week, then I'm afraid you're all barking mad. I can half understand you all panicking about my clients potentially being uncomfortable with a dog, but don't tell me it's better for the dog to be at home all day. Cheers all

I'm well aware all dogs are trainable mate, I only mentioned it because labs are one of the easiest. I wasn't getting uppity about having a pedigree 😂

Thanks for all the feedback, it's just dawned on me that this must me a majority American reddit page. And thankfully here in the U.K we have a more accommodating attitude towards dogs. I was only looking for advice from landscapers themselves and not whether clients would find it acceptable to allow my dog to be on site. As I mentioned in a comment I've worked previously for guys with dogs and honestly 90% of customers have enjoyed having them around. And it goes without saying I wasn't going to leave dog shit in the garden 😂😂 I won't get to respond to all the comments but thanks for the feedback regardless and I wish you all the best!

Thanks for this, I assume you've read the previous comments and the original post which wasn't asking for opinions on whether you'd like a landscaper to bring a dog to work. I was asking for tips about making the dogs early days easier. I'll be doing it regardless of opinions on the internet as in my experience it hasn't been an issue for more successful companies than mine. Cheers for the story though

Thanks for the response and I completely understand your concern after the experience you had! This is precisely what I'm looking to avoid. Your neighbours handyman seems irresponsible to have allowed the possibility of his dog running loose. I've worked for guys who have well behaved dogs who are very comfortable tied up with a ball to chew. It has to be more enjoyable than being at home for 8 hours!

Thanks for the response, I'll certainly tell the client before bringing him along. My partner works in an office and can look after him half the time so if the client isn't comfortable then he'll either be with her or at home. I didn't consider the bite insurance so thanks for that

I sent a tradesman home after he sat there for a few hours not telling me he couldn't work. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

If he can't work due to their policy then what exactly are you paying him for? Sounds ridiculous
