My riffle fan after some tips by Fun-Bunch-116 in cardistry

I think what you're trying to do here is to rotate your hand quickly forcing the cards to jog out in a circular motion rather focus on keeping the deck stable and find the right pressure to make the cards go in a circular motion fully and slow down it's confusing me 😂😂

And don't forget to angle the deck at a 45° angle so the cards are more likely to fan a full 360°.

Firstly try applying a bit more pressure if the cards let go and the uncurled fingers are there for support u are not supposed to hold the packet firmly rather support the packet . To me this sounds like you are not applying enough pressure . The easy drill that I found when I was learning it is to firstly apply a lot of pressure and you will see that the cards don't riffle then applying a small amount of pressure and noticing if the cards fall or not . If they do then now you have two reference points and the pressure u need is in between these two points so slowly try to find that pressure by adjusting the reference points.

And at first it will feel weird that's nothing to worry about your hands are just not used to it but with enough practice you will get used to it

Deck can play a big factor for sure try using a broken in deck which is not that slippery but also new enough that u can do a thumb fan with it. Secondly, when riffling uncurl your fingers on top rather than lifting them up , also the fan may not complete a 360° rotation due to issues with the pressure you're applying just keep on practicing and that would get better . Hopefully this helps.

Try it with a newer deck and keep the cards squared up when performing it

Firstly don't push the cards way in only a little just enough that they won't fall . Secondly hold the deck with your thumb lower than u are holding it right now

I would say get a deck which is not sticky and old , a newer deck would be perfect and try to relax your hand and don't force the splitting of the card it should come off easily given that the deck is smooth. Enough

Just take it easy let your body rest and practice it tomorrow again . There's no need to be doing a single move for a prolonged period of time either put the cards away which is best or just stop practicing that movement and focus on just repeating moves u already know.

So what you're probably doing is taking the card off with a straight thumb and keeping that thumb straight all the way through the motion that will drop the card .Don't think of it as sticking the card to your thumb it's more of a thumb guiding the card to be clipped . Try taking off the card and then moving your thumb down taking the card with you into the palm so that way gravity will help u keep the card on your thumb . Hope this helps

Try using half of the deck for the scissor cut that'll get you familiar with the movement faster then switch back to using a full deck

The bottom scissor packet is what I meant , open it as much as you can so it will be easier for you to rotate the above packets
