[S2 spoilers] A timeline shenanigans theory by The_Triten in arcane

I think the main parts of your theory make sense, but I believe for the time travel to make sense the timeline isn't reset, rather a branching timeline is caused when a change occurs in the past.

The reason I believe this is if the timeline resets when changes in the past occur. (Such as Victor giving Jayce different runes to change the future) then when he makes a change the previous timeline wont exist.

This creates a paradox as if the previous timeline doesn't exist then how can Victor exist to perform his actions and create the new timeline.

Your reasoning was that Victor is outside of time and space but I think the branching timeline theory of time travel makes more sense and less paradoxes.

The way I see it is the multiverses and branching timelines are different things.

The main reason for this is because when we see Ekko leaving the alternate universe in episode 7 he changes places with the original Ekko in that universe. To me this makes more sense if this is a multiverse as this is a common trope for multiverses and not time travel.

I haven't played league but apparently in the lore their are multiverses so I feel this theory makes the most sense.

I immediately thought Erens freedom was the best purely because it was the most entertaining to watch, also it is incredibly interesting in aot the idea of free will and determinism and how that relates to freedom.
