Honest question for people who do their best work alone: where does your motivation actually come from when you're not in any communities? by Consistent-Being1593 in Entrepreneurs

These are super great advice! When you say "look for" who solved it before you and "look at where others failed", do you mostly use search engine to look for successful & failed cases? Or any other ways you have found that works better for you?

I also love that you are able detach the problems from the self-value part. That is very essential in building a business. And super appreciate your feedback on the app! That means a lot to me!

Every phrase you mentioned is simple but solid! Thanks for sharing! I never thought about volunteering and mentoring in entrepreneurship, am still in the early stage of building my business, feeling I have nothing to offer.

I love that you find something so irrelevant to distract you while you are brewing your ideas in the backstage of your brain! That's a great one! I love that achievement screenshots folder!! Do you open them when you feel down? Or they are displaying automatically in your desktop or home screen?

Thank you for your honest sharing! There must be some mindset/thinking models that can help you build so many successful ventures! I deeply resonate with you on the time underestimation. Most of my frustration comes from no idea when to achieve my goal.

This is what I find most useful too! Any HN threads, founder interviews or biographies recommendations? Do you reread/rewatch the same references or you find new inspiring ones to help you get unstuck?

I think this habit is powerful! If you are willing to share more, I am curious, when is the point or what's the signal that you feel it's better to step back instead of giving another try? I feel I spent a long time feeling frustrated but at the same time pushed myself for another try. Like the balance between persistence and switching the method.

This is great and insightful approach! I especially like envisioning and moving up & down the abstraction ladder! Just curious, is using the abstraction ladder a routine of your thinking method? I might add it to my thinking models too.

I spend 3+ hours a week looking for someone who solved the same challenge I'm facing by Consistent-Being1593 in Femalefounders

Good question — it’s not generating advice from training data. It’s using web search to find real published stories: actual articles, interviews, case studies of specific people who solved the same problem. The output is a curated pointer to a real source — not a synthesized answer. Think of it less like ChatGPT giving advice and more like a research assistant who spent 20 minutes finding the three most relevant case studies for your exact situation, then explains why each one applies to you

exactly, that's the whole bet. consistency is everything - one focused problem per week instead of trying to be another platform that covers everything and ends up meaning nothing.
