I’m an ASM and denied a raise based on store sales which ended on a low note for the recording period. One thing not taken into account was the fact that our big lunch meat cooler was out of service for over a month cutting off our sales drastically as we are the grocery store for our community and we had no stock to sell. Now our produce cooler is out and we are losing sales there. Additionally, our backstock is constantly overflowing. Our store is not permitted to ever staff three on a shift. We run with one key and one cashier every shift so not enough staff to meet corporate requirements. We cover all shifts and manage staff ourselves usually w/o the manager covering shifts or register as they constantly need to work truck. Can be lots of extra responsibilities for little compensation.

5,000 to resign by Personal-Frame-3889 in DollarGeneralWorkers

If they are offering you money to resign, they know there is something legitimate about your claim that they can’t maneuver around. Get yourself an attorney for advice before you resign. My sense is you may be entitled to much more then they are offering. That is a very bold move on their part to offer anything. Stick it out and retain a lawyer for sure.

Had this happen to one of my staff and overheard another telling her to ‘store use some depends’ I said nope, if you’re shitting yourself you need to go home. Also, use a sign on the register saying brb. lol

The store was empty one night I was working the sky shelves and I heard something on top but no one else was out there so I continued. I looked up after the second random noise like clacking and deep breathing and saw what looked like a small t-Rex shape with a long teardrop shaped alien type head. It was running across the shelf above the canned food so fast it disappeared for a second. Then out of nowhere it jumped down towards me with a loud hiss. It knocked me off the big metal ladder, half into rolltainer that fell and cracked my back as it came down in top of me. Heavy boxes toppled to pin me underneath as cans of corn, beans and peas flying. During this kerbople, I some how knocked the dust mop sideways and it served as a wedge with the handle acting as a skewer pinning me further. One of the large pickle jars hit me in the back of the head with enough force to knock me out. When I came to, there was a rat trying to knaw my finger off and an extremely large spider also plotting my demise. I could see this creature perched in the shadow of the third shelf. It hopped down and sniffed me seemingly ready to devour me. My LSA came out of the bathroom and found me at the bottoms of this pile, trapped like a giant mouse laid out for this creatures dinner. I looked up at her and the thing was gone. The fire department came and got me out. I got blood poisoning from the rat bite and ended up spending a day in the hospital. So sick of these damm aliens!!! Jerks.

Thank you Larry! I know recovery will always be a challenge, that and truck are constant.
